Polyamory Is On The Rise And Society Should Be More Accommodating, Research Argues
IFL Science ^ | April 3, 2023 | Dr. Russell Moul

Polyamory has been on the rise for some time, despite the social and political stigmas surrounding it, but research suggests that such romantic relationships can offer emotional and physical benefits to all involved.

Consensual polyamory – having more than one sexual or emotional relationship at once – has become increasingly common in many countries in recent years. According to statistics published in 2021, 4 to 5 percent of the American population practices polyamory, while a 2019 YouGov survey found that 7 percent of UK adults had been in a consensual non-monogamous relationship at some point in their lives. This latter statistic represents a marked increase from a similar survey conducted in 2015, which showed that only 2 percent of UK adults had been in such relationships.

This increase in practice has also been accompanied by a rise in positive representations of polyamorous relationships in popular culture.

This fact is not widely known, but two rather large municipalities in MA, ground zero in the sodomite “marriage” movement, now recognizes polyamorous relationships with marriage-like “rights” and recognition.

Anytime I see a proposed shift in cultural norms based upon “research shows” articles, I place on my “this is probably b.s.” hat.

That picture has been around awhile but it’s already a done deal. There has been push back on grooming here and there, but overall it’s never going to go back pre 1995 to 2000 unless there’s a huge societal breakdown. And living through that breakdown would probably be worse than polygamists and homos running around, but not child grooming.

Child grooming is an essential part of their whole agenda. You can't have poly's and homos running around without them coming for your children. We'd better finally understand that.

The rampant proliferation of freely available pornography is the impetus for all of this. This is the fruit of the poisoned tree that the likes of Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt planted decades ago.

Polyamory is on the rise because feminists have encouraged women to be sluts and men to be simps.

Strong men and feminine women would not tolerate that.

My husband and I laugh at these people.

I am surprised it took this long. After gay “marriage” was legalized there is no theoretical basis for it.

Why 2? Why unrelated? Those questions become rhetorical when progeny is no longer the foundation of the institution.

Muslims want their polygamous marriages recognized.

Didn’t know “research” had an opinion. Sounds like the author is transposing themselves as that.

So, now sweet julie, who used to be in every guy’s little black book, has her own little book of guys!

Polyamory, born out of the swinging ‘80’s, has all to offer, within the circle, without the legal nasties of marriages, or, should it be done right, no marriage nasties regarding ‘the kids’, either.

Polyamory ticks off lawyers, because there is no money to be made! no marriages to divorce, no property/custody battles, no estate battles!!

Polyamory ticks off religious leaders, “because it is outside the code”.

Polyamory confounds politicians because they cannot talk from more than one side of their mouth, at a time.

What does that leave for them to embrace? Gang rape?

Read Romans 1, beginning at verse 14. We've passed the point where it became "smart" to deny God's existence (verses 21-23) even though it's obvious God exists (verses 16-20). We're even past the point of normalizing heterosexual immorality (verses 24-25). We're into the point of normalizing homosexual immorality (verses 26-27).

Next up is what we're already getting into, as detailed in verses 29-32:
They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

IMHO, the way to win this battle is to not just battle homosexuality and pedo, though we should win those battles. We have to also think long game and fight the fight as in verses 14-17:
I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Idea goes back to Plato’s Republic. Which is probably where this “philosopher” got that it was a good idea. Even the ancient Greeks rejected it as unworkable. In the 60s we had the O’Neills advocating “open marriage.” They touted it as beneficial too. Got divorced a couple years after their book came out.

Give the author a little credit for originality. He said, “research suggests”, instead of the usual phrase, “experts say”.
