Zelensky’s Army spotted using anti-aircraft guns made in 1947 against Russia
“Amid a weapons crises as Russia mounts offensive, Ukraine has started using anti-aircraft guns made in 1947. Ukraine is reportedly using the KS-19 guns for ground targets, designed for air targets. Russia on the other hand, had used these guns as a decoy in Ukraine.”
2/4 Despite the neocon propaganda from some who post here, The Wall Street Journal detailed how badly things are faring for the Orkrainians:

A Year Into War, Ukraine Faces Challenges Mobilizing Troops
3/23/23
“When Russia invaded in February last year, thousands of volunteers lined up outside military recruitment centers. *With many of them now dead or injured,* Ukrainian authorities are scrambling to recruit replacements, *often drafting those who have neither the desire nor the training to serve.* The result is a growing number of fighting-age men *who are attempting to evade service.* ... videos appearing to show men *being roughed up by enlistment officers* for refusing a summons. A disabled person *was drafted in western Ukraine and pronounced fit for service despite having no hands.* Another died on the front lines *within a month of mobilization after 10 days of training,* according to his relatives. ...”

3/4 Germany snubs Ukraine on arms aid; Says, ‘Can’t give everything…’
4/1/23
German defence minister Boris Pistorius has said that the NATO Nation won’t send anymore military aid to Ukraine apart from the promised packages. ... [Video at link]
It’s obvious that Boris, as well as the German newspapera Welt Am Sonntag and Reuters, who both reported on this, are pro-Putin.
4/4a Zelensky’s latest admission: In an interview with Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun he declared that “We do not have ammunition. For us the situation in the East is not good.”
Zelensky’s admission adds credence to what the Washington Post recently reported regarding how poorly Kiev’s forces are faring in this conflict, especially its “severe ammunition shortages” that one of its sources spoke about.
4/4b Ukrainian Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko:
Kyiv’s forces are losing at least 500 fighters in the area of Bakhmut on a daily basis
Perhaps they could utilize their KS-19s against Russia’s T-55s.
They send available high explosives down range. Not the first choice but they are on hand. Simple as that.
Isn’t that supposed to be against the Geneva Convention?
They are also using 100-year-old Maxim machine guns. The reason is they have a water tank around the barrel, and they are belt fed. So, they can be continuously fired as long as there is cooling water in the tank, unlike modern machine guns where you can’t fire continuously without melting the barrel. Also, a 100mm gun will penetrate just about anything. If they already have the ammo and the gun, it is likely better for the purpose than anything else they are using. They are also using antiquated truck mounted dual barrel anti-aircraft guns from the fifties and sixties because those are great against drones. It might be hard to get tubes for the radar.
The weapons we have today are designed to fight the type of war we expect, which is one of rapid movement and not static trench warfare.
1. This is editorializing.
2. The Vietnamese shot down 20th Century U.S. helicopters with 10th Century crossbows.
Just because it's outdated doesn't mean it can't be combat-effective.
The Germans did pretty well with 88’s in WWII.
it’s over.
100 billion just doesn’t go as far as it used to
Pure propaganda. The US uses the M2A2 50 Cal better known as the Ma Duce. It has been in service since 1933. Doesn’t matter the age but how effective it is.
Ukraine is not going to win this war either. NATO is sending its war stockage to Ukraine so we will be vulnerable when this thing comes crashing down. Sweater Man will flee with hoards of cash through grifting. Russia will have the upper hand on the world.
And Wagner uses only 2023 model shovels.
This means they’re winning. Just ask that female Navy officer.
In WW II the Germans used their 88mm anti-aircraft “flack” guns quite effectively against tanks.
The German 88 was an all around useful artillery/air/ground support piece.
Rumor is Blinken and Biden told Ukraine that we won’t allow them to take Crimea and we will cut them off if they go too far.
A great source when you want a really ridiculous article to post.
One real reason for using older artillery is that it enables more shells to be put onto lower value targets. With a drone for correction even old artillery can be very effective against Russians in trenches.
But you already knew that if you have watched any of the thousands of hours of video from the front lines.
