Key congressman to Dems: ‘Government does not have the right to hunt Donald Trump’

As Republicans circle the wagons around Donald Trump, a key member of the House Intelligence Committee says the multiple Democrat-led probes of the 45th president from New York to Georgia resemble more of a hunt than the fair administration of justice.

Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga., urged liberal champions of civil rights to speak out against the weaponization of law enforcement after Trump’s unprecedented indictment this week in Manhattan or risk having the tables one day turned.

“They have hunted Donald Trump and his family for years and years and years,” Scott said Friday on the Just the News, Not Noise television show. “The thing that separates America from other countries is the government does not have the right to hunt an American citizen.

“Whether you like him or not, the government does not have the right to hunt Donald Trump, to hunt the Trump Organization, to hunt his family,” he added. “And “ every Democrat out there who believes in civil liberties, should be standing up and saying this is wrong.”

Scott also slammed Former House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi for suggesting Trump will get a chance to prove his innocence, saying such comments are a perversion of America’s judicial philosophy that everyone is assumed innocent.

Might as well ask them to give you a unicorn while they’re at it. It’s equally likely to happen.

“They have hunted Donald Trump and his family for years and years and years,”

Even worse, they ran for office on the platform of ‘getting Trump and his family’.

Well, there’s ONE voice in the Wilderness. However, it should be a ROAR from the GOP!!

But, nope. :(

IMHO This is not about Trump but rather Braggs positioning himself to run for NYC mayor.

Before Obama, I never thought this crap could happen in our country. Boy was I wrong! The Republicans need to start playing by the same rules the Dems do or this whole American system of justice is done for.

Since pelosi laid out this ‘plan’ about arresting Trump, and if innocent (as is his right to defend himself) then everything will be okie dokie, then some Conservative DA should arrest her ass right now, and then let her defend herself. If she is innocent (of us not liking her), she also will be okie dokie. Seems to me that we fought the British in the Revolutionary War ti established the concept of “innocent until proven guilty”. It is codified in our Constition in the 3rd, 4th, and 16th amendments, and more. Perhaps pelosi should read it sometime since she swore and oath to it.

“. . . Republicans need to start playing by the same rules the Dems do . . .”

Many do, apparently, along with the Dems. They probably joined the Dems in indicting Trump.

Good for him and his effort to clear this and his families’ names.

I find the Dems, in general, to be supercilious and clearly helpless as they absolutely do not seem to understand the strict meaning of words.

*************

They won’t and its done for.

The trouble is we don’t have a party that fights for us.

And its hard to wind battles without an army.

The GOP is useless and needs to be replaced IMO.

While some of this crap was festering under the radar it came out of the closet when Obama (pi$$ be upon him) took power. Remember ‘we are about to change this country’ speech. I doubt that any sane person envisioned the things that are going on today.

If conservatives ever get control of the House, the Senate, and POTUS, I hope that every communist in this country should fear for his well being and have plans to emigrate elsewhere. It should be an exodus like the Nazis out of Europe after WWII.

If the Rs cannot find the stones to make that happen, our g-kids will be slaves.

When the Media-Dem Party did the same thing to Sarah Palin from 2008-2012 the RNC denied her any assistance, and few paid attention to what was going on. They filed dozens of bogus complaints, that eventually cost her so much money and prevented her from doing her job as governor that she was forced out. When Trump came on the scene they felt that they had free reign to do the same thing, turn his life into a living hell, and he’d resign. Fortunately for us, Trump had the means and courage to defend himself.

Maybe if we had slapped back against the Media-Dem Party in Alaska they may have thought twice about taking on Trump. It was most likely because Palin, like Trump, was an outsider so the RNC didn’t care about either one of them. A big example is that the Senate was under republican control during Trump’s administration yet they conducted their own “investigation” into the Russian Collusion charge that ran until after the Mueller “report”. At that time when Lindsey Graham was asked about shutting it down, he said, “let’s just let it run its course.” With friends like that we don’t need enemies.
