Biden is gutting the US Navy

Biden is speaking loudly but carrying an ever smaller stick.

Over the past couple of years, Xi has been ratcheting up the pressure on Taiwan, and Biden has matched and raised his bet.

I have long been skeptical of the U.S.’ strategic ambiguity regarding Taiwan. Like it or not, Taiwan is now at the heart of global commerce, punching far above its weight class.

About 70% of microprocessors are made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), and while not all of them are manufactured on the island, the world economy would be crippled by its loss. Taiwan is at the heart of the high-tech economy upon which the world now depends, and that is one of the many reasons China wants to control it.

President Biden has, de facto, abandoned the decades-old policy of strategic ambiguity and declared that the US would defend the independence of the island from China, committing the US to war in the event of an attack. Taiwan, far more than Ukraine, is of vital strategic interest to us and it’s hard to fault him for buttressing deterrence.

Except it’s all talk. Biden is talking big but cutting the US Navy and strangling its budget. How, exactly, can we defend the country with an understrength Navy and a declining stockpile of ammunition? Every shipment to Ukraine that isn’t backfilled quickly diminishes our ability to actually defend the island.

Xi knows that. Biden claims that our support for Ukraine proves our commitment to our allies and will bolster deterrence. Perhaps so, except our actual military capabilities are shrinking by the day, and Biden is working to shrink them even faster.

Navy? We don't need no steenkin' Navy. But, at least the Navy ain't alone. This (b)administration has continued to degrade our military capability. TWSH coming soon to a town near you.

Basically returning our armed forces back to where they were in the mid 30s.

Weaken the USA, strengthen China. That’s the Biden plan. Traitor.

And so it goes. The public is stupid, and can’t be bothered with such things.

At some point, the decline of this country will reach critical mass. I hope I’m dead by then.

"Biden is gutting the US Navy"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Biden this, Biden that...

The real problem is that corrupt Congress is not doing its job to remove a failed, likewise corrupt president from office.

Patriots, the bottom line is this imo. What is your threshold of “pain” for peacefully stopping unconstitutionally big state and federal governments controlled by bully, constitutionally undefined political parties, from oppressing the people under their boots?

The inevitable remedy for ongoing, post-17A ratification, corrupt political party treason (imo)...

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.

If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.

If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.

With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.

In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.

In other words, primarying RINOs in 2022 was just for practice. Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying for 2024 elections.

The Navy lost ground continuously going back to the Trump years despite his demands for increased spending. The democrats blocked the Navy expansion at every turn while the republicans were feeble in their support. Now we do not have the shipbuilding infrastructure realistically to catch up for lost time, and scarcely have the sailors to man the ships if we do build a few.

Meanwhile, delToro has stated that ‘fighting climate change’ is among his first priorities for the Navy’s mission. This administration is no longer a laughing matter.

The “microprocessor” argument is BS. The neocon troll is strong with this author

These highly technical plants and their equipment will never, ever survive even the smallest conflict. The slightest damage (or act of sabotage once a conflict starts) and they will be absolutely useless to China or anyone else.

If you want “critical component supply-chain security,” then build the damn things in the USA.

Biden’s present strategy is really about “Ukrainizing” Taiwan.

We need more subs... is it true China’s ‘balloon’ went over a top secret nuke sub parking area?

Oh, and it seems China got the deal of a lifetime when they bought Hunter and the Big Guy. And bought whoever in the FBI protects Hunter... and his laptop.

Two big chip making facilities are being created in Arizona. Both are expected to start producing chip in 2024, as I recall.
