It’s not just Neocons. the intelligence apparatus that screwed over almost every country in the world. They go in and stir up trouble and then leave the people there to deal with the consequences

Vietnam was first foreign policy blunder.
Followed by Iraq.
Followed by Afghanistan.
Now same blunder in Ukraine.

Will United States ever learn from mistakes?

Every example you give was a victory turned to disaster by a Democrat administration.
In the case of Vietnam, by a veto proof Democrat congress after they drove Nixon from office.

George W. Retard didn’t take oil as repayment like he should have done. He should have bled the goddamed country dry. And taken all the gold. He just went in, took out saddam, and sacrificed his best troops for two decades for no good reason. He probably shouldn’t have even had saddam killed.

I wonder if Iran sent him a Thank You letter?

He didn't. The Iraqi people tried him in an Iraqi court and Iraqi executioners hanged him.

Vietnam was first foreign policy blunder.

First in our lifetimes maybe. I’d say in a long term historical sense war with Spain and taking over its colonies was the first, but I get what you mean.

China will spend $ millions in bribes, and they will control the oil and resources.

Welcome the new Sheriffs, the China/ Russia/ India/ ME/ SA/ Brics alliance ensures US hegemony is dead. 65 percent of the worlds population aligned against the US ensures our dethroning.

Do keep in mind, the West is just entering a financial crisis ( credit Suisse, Deutches Bank, SVB), while those aligned with Russia , and Russia, are not.

It is becoming evident the collective West is bankrupting itself supporting Biden’s Ukie war. Historic times. Thanks Brandon.

You are right. I assumed we had influence in that decision, though. He had to be killed because if alive he could have said “Hey! I didn’t have anything to do with 9/11! Look into the guy that owned the buildings”

WWI was a blunder.

Yep. That was the first time we got involved with European ethnic border squabbles. I recall the story of Wilson crawling over a map on the floor with a magnifying glass. It seems we have learned nothing to this day.

What would Saddam say about this?

Reasons we might have gone to war with Iraq.

This probably doesn't count but... the 250,000 to 290,000 people Saddam had killed

I couldn't care less about the iraqis. Almost as little as Bush and the neocons cared about our troops.

The war was fought wrong. You go in. You KILL AS MANY MEN AS POSSIBLE UNTIL THEY BEG FOR MERCY. Then set up oil refineries, take as much oil as possible, bleed them dry if need be. Then leave. They make money getting jobs working for us. We throw them a couple of bucks to keep critics quiet.

None of this bullshit getting killed while handing out candy to kids. No schools or roads or "hearts and minds" or any of that crap.

Oh, and we betrayed the Kurds.

None of which has anything to do with why we invaded Iraq.

Try to remember your own words.

Not sure vague is quite the word. That could present uncertainty. Vague is more a word that could, or should, be in the parameter of the citizens and those that are not telling the whole truth.

If you look back over 100 years there has been a steady list of events and knowledge that has suddenly appeared for the public’s scrutiny. And the public has been led by the nose into situations they are having to evaluate with only selected pieces of provided information. The government is a perfect example. What went from protecting the citizens for their safety has turned into protecting the government for theirs from the citizens.

There is a dark side to everything except heaven. The people call it evil. It is taught through man’s efforts to their gain and in many cases doesn’t provide for the gain of others. But during this last 100 years in particular evil has been defined by the people who most can gain by its interpretation despite it’s appearance.

Definitions have become the question and not the answers. And a part of this, our justice system, made with good intent to protect us from evil, has been taken over by the evil and now has shifted the guilt of loss to the other side. I don’t have to lecture anyone on this. Our information highway is littered with instances. And they will be pushed off the side of the road by new ones tomorrow. And each event seems to outweigh the previous one and nobody is at fault. And that is determined by the at fault people.

The public has no idea how far this has gone and as long as they are taught to overlook things that don’t bite them on the keyster right away, they won’t care. They have a house, food, a car to travel, and a longer life than they did 200 years ago. What else is there? Simple, to be conned into serving the elite by their definition again. And their definition of elite.

For something simple, did you know there was a bunker for congress located at Greenbrier, West Virginia? It was built during the Eisenhower administration for congress to hide in if an attack happened. And the funny thing is that you can see it now, but you have to pay to see it even though your previous tax dollars paid for it already so those “elites” could cover their back side.

https://wvtourism.com/today-show-greenbrier-resort-bunker/#:~:text=Housed%20under%20the%20West%20Virginia,Congress%20during%20the%20Eisenhower%20era.

And you pay for the “privilege”(?):

https://www.greenbrier.com/Activities-Events/Bunker-Tours-1130-(2).aspx

Anyone ask why this was built for a specific group of people with taxpayer money and not know about until 1992 over 30 years after it’s construction? (And still haven’t) And it cost the people money for maintenance, a full time crew, and preparedness for a nuclear event the entire time covertly. This is not the president’s bunker however.

https://ahf.nuclearmuseum.org/ahf/history/greenbrier-bunker/#:~:text=As%20part%20of%20these%20efforts,White%20Sulphur%20Springs%2C%20West%20Virginia.

Most citizens don’t even know about this or care. They don’t see the loss of their money or the stupidity of why it was maintained for over 30 years. It was built for a doomsday hideout for congress if a nuclear attack was sent. Who are they going to govern?

You can do the research on about anything and find things like this. It’s hidden in the open. Nobody ever looks there.

Jesus Christ...That was meant to be a "joke". I knew I shouldn't have said that. That it would be interpreted as 9/1! WAs aN INsID# j0B!@!! by some of the Harvey Dryballs crowd. (Although I'd love to know what Larry Silverstein thought of his situation)

I was for the Iraq war when it started, because I thought that since it would be run by a Bush, even one as weak and stupid as duh-bya was (pooty-poot, the EP-3 incident, Islam is a religion of peace, letting OBL go, Afghanistan...basically I believed Rush and Hannity) it would be quick and painless. But I was wrong, and it was a meat grinder, and duh-bya was too stupid to know the wars were designed to bankrupt the US, (even more) destroy the best of our military, and give the enemy Intelligence on how to wear us down and out.

We begin to see that GHW and GW were in perfect alignment with BO and JB. They seek to destroy, when all they had to do was buy influence. Now why did Bush 1 go crazy on Iraq? Over a lie about bayonetting babies. Bush 2 did it because????? He could I guess. Barry, was really the leader if ISIS/ISIL, and Biden is the moron chosen to lay on the blame onto.

Same stuff in Ukraine, screwing with Syria, Iran and Iraq, teeing off Turkey, Israel and trying to blow Russia up. IDIOTS ALL. You catch a Bear and an enemy with Sugar. Like China is doing to the US.

My point is even if our military won Vietnam war, hoisting the flag in Hanoi, Vietnam was never going to be a Western style democracy. Blood and treasure was a total waste regardless of the outcome.

Ditto with Iraq & Afghanistan. We need to get out of the delusion that we can create democracies by winning wars. China is not wasting any money in foreign wars and now has bigger economy than United States (in purchasing power) and has no ugly national debt.
