Lawmakers in New York are gearing up to enact legislation that would prohibit gas stoves from being used in new buildings, including new single-family homes and new commercial properties. Should the proposal — included in the state budget that's due March 31 — receive a nod from Empire State lawmakers, it would be the first piece of legislation in the nation to target gas and fossil fuel appliances.

Leave New York if you haven’t already.NY marxists count on taxpayers who have jobs, family, or property to stay. Fear of the unknown. Have home prices in NY fallen?

I guess the old wood and coal stoves my grandparents used wouldn’t pass muster either. They want everyone on electric because they can control that easier. Do or say something the regime doesn’t like? The Electric Nazi kicks into gear.

Where do they think they’re going to get all this electricity from?

Windmills & Solar Panels, of course.
What a joke...

Think of the logic they are pushing here: One state, New York, will ban gas stoves for what? To end climate change? Climate change the world over will be fixed? The world will be saved? This is like New York banning people from peeing in the ocean to save it from turning yellow. It’s childrens fantasy science.

The democRATs should be the ones in the slowly heating pot of water, over a gas stove.

I’ve heard that professional chefs prefer gas stoves to electric. Apparently easier to control That would depend on who/what is being controlled and by who/what

So, they will instead burn natural gas to make electricity and with the inefficiency that goes along with it. The stupid, it burns.

Yes, politicians always avoid public outcry by saying 'but it won't effect you'. But then a year later they just do it when nobody is looking.
Every. Single. Time.

Exactly right. It’s the camel’s nose approach. They will “enhance” the law by giving you five, maybe ten years at most, to change out your gas appliances before they permanently shut off the natural gas supply to your house.
How will they stop the land rush for 200 gallons propane tank installations and appliance conversions from nat gas to propane? Put all the propane dealers out of business? Forbid them from doing conversions? Forbid them from acquiring new customers.
Suffocating big government is way out of control in the USA.

Excellent advice.
Montana, Utah, S. Dakota are just 3 of 9.
Plenty more out there.
