BREAKING: NYC DA Alvin Bragg 'having trouble' convincing grand jury in Trump case, will reconvene Thursday

A source familiar with the matter suggested Bragg and his team "are having trouble convincing the jury to swallow the case."

The grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump for his alleged involvement in a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election was told not to show up on Wednesday. However; it has been reported that they are set to reconvene on Thursday.

The news comes amid reports that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is "having trouble" convincing members of the grand jury to hear the case.

According to the Daily Mail, "After hearing evidence on Monday, jurors were told they were not needed on Wednesday, according to two sources familiar with the matter. However, a court official told DailyMail.com that they will sit again at noon on Thursday, when prosecutors 'may present one more witness'."

A source familiar with the matter suggested Bragg and his team "are having trouble convincing the jury to swallow the case," calling it "a weak case [that] has caused divisions in the DA's office."

Others have argued that the decision to delay the meeting with the jury was made to give Bragg time to reconsider his strategy.

Since they last met, new evidence has been uncovered including a bombshell letter from former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's office to officials at the Federal Election Commission stating that then-president Trump was not involved in the payment of alleged "hush money" to Stormy Daniels.

The letter, obtained by the Daily Mail, stated that it was Cohen who paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket.

"Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford," the letter read, "and neither reimbursed Mr. Cohen for the payment directly or indirectly."

Cohen's team went on to explain that, "neither Mr. Cohen nor Essential Consultants LLC made any in-kind contributions to Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., or any other presidential campaign committee," nor was Cohen a government employee at the time.

Thus, they argued, "the payment in question does not constitute a campaign contribution or expenditure and, therefore, the FEC lacks jurisdiction over this matter."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.

(Leftist and RINO)independents : "It's good to prosecute Trump, but not with this case!"

There is no guarantee the Georgia case will make them happy either. "Hey, let's go back to mar-a-lago-classified-papers, no, how about J6 again"

The media, including Fox, has been trying to gag trump, but they just can't resist. Hillary learned that -- too late.

Alvin Bragg knows that Cohen, Stormy Daniels and Creepy Porn Lawyer are liars, and they are all directly or tangentially related to this case. So, he is suborning perjury before the GJ and he should be charged with ethics violations at the very least, and the GJ should be disbanded.

Oh, C’mon. This is NYC. There are drug crazed feces covered street bums all over the place. Just sweep a couple of blocks and go with the ones who can still nod their heads after fighting off withdrawal for the whole 15 minutes of “evidence”.

Anyone not able to get a grand jury to indict in NYC on “who killed Hoffa” isn’t trying.

But remember this: Dunne and Pomerantz quit because they were gung-ho to indict President Trump and thought Bragg wasn’t getting it done aggressively and quickly enough. Pomerantz even wrote a whole book about it. He thinks President Trump is the devil himself.

“My client has done nothing wrong,” Fischetti said.

"My client" means Trump. So many lawyers, hard to keep up.

At the very least, he wouldn’t be DA any longer.

If the money came from Soros, which is a real good bet, god luck finding proof. The filthy rich evil bast*rd has about 5,000 related entities, most with no way to establish a paper trail directly to him or his offspring

Zero chance the grand jury is being sequestered. Some days not all panelists are even required to show up for it. All it takes is a quorum.

My fear is that the Communists will either bribe those panelists that are Nos or threaten them/their families if they do not vote to indict. Put nothing past these evil authoritarians, they view us commoners as disposable chattel.

“In a sane Country this SCUMbag POS DA would be in prison”

North Korea’s practice of shredding such people with anti-aircraft guns suddenly seems reasonable.

You know who else has been in and around this from early on? Lanny Davis. Yes, THAT Lanny Davis - the one whose fame and fortune came from the Clintons, getting their scandal-ridden butts out of trouble time and again.

I didn't notice this until Monday night while watching Tucker Carlson. He was interviewing Robert Costello - Cohen's former/original attorney - about his appearance before the grand jury that day, and when he spilled the beans on Cohen's wildly conflicting stories. While the interview was underway on 2 panels of the screen, the 3rd panel is showing B-roll of Cohen - a repeating loop of photos and video from past legal activities and encounters. In no less than 3 of these, there's the smug mug of Lanny Davis, either at Cohen's side, or directly behind him.

So was Lanny there on Lanny's behalf, on the behalf of "justice for all", or could Hillary's wretched paws be all around this? Perhaps still looking for her revenge for the 2016 coronation-interruptus.

If I'm a RAT, i'd note that this statement does not include Pres. Trump individually and that the 35k a month retainer for a year(420K)to Cohen shortly thereafter is the payback.

I wish President Trump would stop sugarcoating it and come right out and say what he’s thinking.

And he should use bold on his text to emphasize it.
