Trump lashes out at DeSantis over Piers Morgan interview

Former President Trump on Wednesday took a swing at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) after the Florida governor knocked him in an interview with Fox News’s Piers Morgan, another clash between the two GOP figures as they prepare for what could be a 2024 presidential primary match-up.

In an interview set to air on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Thursday and published in part by The New York Post, DeSantis shifted from his previously veiled stance to more directly addressing the former president’s attacks with jabs of his own toward Trump’s character and leadership.

Trump, who is facing a looming indictment in New York over a hush-money payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels, took to Truth Social to respond to DeSantis.

Horrors! You’ve introduced logic into the conversation.

DeSantis should have endorsed Trump.

Why? Nobody else is.

Hundreds of high-ranking elected Republican office holders across the country and what, not even a dozen formal endorsements?

Hmmmm. And Pence has exactly zero chance of becoming president. So where would that leave us?

That’s not true.

Tell us one Trump rally where the Republican governor snubbed Trump. Didn’t show. Refused to go for being against Trump and refused to endorse the other Republican candidates Trump was endorsing in person for tge state crowd

Beside DeSantis in Florida

DeSantis promoters here don’t bring logic to tge arhument. Just over the top emotion. Feelings. Hatred

It’s like being around leftists. Prob because that’s what it is

No doubt, and when he loses they'll vote Trump...

Indeed they will.

But do you know who won't vote for him? The independents and swing voters who voted for him in 2016 because they loathed Hillary and then voted for Biden in 2020 because they were tired of Trump's personal baggage.

Tell us one Trump rally where the Republican governor snubbed Trump.

Moving the goalposts again, I see.

Formal endorsements. How many formal endorsements has Trump received from elected Republicans at this point in his campaign?

I’m not moving anything. RDS should have endorsed Trump. He snubbed him.

His enemies that carried out the coup are all alive and kicking because Trump refused to go for the kill

Yep, he has backtracked on Ukraine already. So his response to Tucker Carlson was a flat out lie.

Those are they types of mistakes a guy can’t make if he wants a following.

then voted for Biden in 2020 because they were tired of Trump's personal baggage.

I'd say Biden now has worse baggage, starting with the economic disaster, the war, the bodes and on and on. Not to mention his criminal charges for laundering chicom funds.

I believe in loyalty and DeSantis is not a loyal person at all. DeSantis has reached his fame from the assistance, Donald J. Trump, gave him, when he just squeezed by to win his first term as Governor of Florida. Without the help and support from Trump he never would have become the governor of Florida!! Not a team player!!!

You have to wonder why DeSantis is running this time around.
Trump had the borders secure, no wars and the economy humming.
Except he was railroaded by almost everyone it seems.

Desantis is young and could have easily sat this one out.
