PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Cracker Barrel has permanently closed its remaining two locations in the Portland metro area, citing the pandemic.
A spokesperson for Cracker Barrel confirmed the closure of their Beaverton and Tualatin restaurants on Monday.
They are also permanently closing a Bend location.
“As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the performance of our stores, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests and our business. With that, we are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the pandemic had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin, and Bend locations.”

I worked at a millwork plant in Amarillo. The son of the CEO took over (hostile takeover) and brought in a turd from our plant in Bend to be our plant manager. Plant went under within 2 years. I saw what was coming and made him fire me.
Mike Hall was his name. Typical of what you find there.
The last time I was in Portland was in 1965. I recall it being a safe and vibrant city. We would look forward to shopping at Lloyd Center, which claimed to be the world's largest shopping mall--which, from what I have read, is now, more or less, a ghost town.
🤣
Theft is a major issue in America, these days
Much of the literature of these LGBT young student groomer groups contains information about local "gay bars" and other meeting venues for hookups. It's thoroughly disgusting and should be highly illegal.
We used to be friends with a camo liberal couple. They pretended to be conservatives. He was a science teacher and she was the lead secretary in our school system.
Their oldest daughter moved to Bend. About a year later they
helped her to buy a small 2 BR home in Bend. About a year later they bought a small trailer and parked it in her backyard.
They lived in that trailer to sleep and in their daughter’s home for the rest of the day during the summer vacations and holidays. After they retired, they basically live up there except Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb. They kept their N. California home as an investment and a place to stay to visit family and friends here. They still vote here and maximize the no sales tax in Bend.
I haven’t seen any “smash and grab” hits on restaurants.
__________
Cracker Barrell has a large multivarietied store in the front of each restaurant That would be good pickings.
Then don’t travel to Portland, OR. Simple.
Newark of the Northwest.
____________
Portland Maine is the namesake of Portland Oregon
It is turning rapidly into the Newark of New England.
Doesn’t look it at first glance, but people who are there know how fast it is falling.
Then they’ll move and vote for the same crap they voted for in Portland.
It is a horrorshow
True that
Funny how the “pandemic” didn’t cause them to close their stores in red areas.
You in true Freeper fashion, Didn’t read the article…Bend is a long way 3.5-4 hours from Portlandia.
I had a friend who lived in Portland and sang its praises with a full voice until she moved to Appalachia last Fall.
Guilty as charged. In fairness, I’ve never been west of the Mississippi.
Oh we LOVE Cracker Barrel.
Have one within 20 minutes of us here in La Verne, California.Such good food and a great gift shop.
Isn’t that odd.
Cracker Barrel in Florida is doing very well.
What is the difference?

Maybe the people in Oregon are not into eating a day’s wotth of calories in a single meal.
You should venture west, at least once. Lots of interesting real estate west of the Mississippi. I spent the first 18 years of my life east of the Mississippi too.
Make no mistake, I like CB. But I have them beat on French Toast.
OK Cafe, West Paces Ferry and I-75 in NW Atlanta (the ritzy part, it’s a mile or two from the governor’s mansion.

The last time I had the sourdough French toast, it was dipped in egg, then dipped in batter and DEEP FRIED!
It was perfect!
