This is Alinsky based purposeful destruction of state and community based banks.Soon, like Canada we will have only big national banks, and depositor money will not stay in the communities and states for investment there.
The federal socialists/MArxists are truly about destroying the middle class and entrepreneurship that supports the middle class.

Pretty much describes many large events over the past several years. It started with the fundamental transformation which emboldened tptb.
The Dems are on a tear to destroy everything humanity has worked so hard on pulling itself out of the mud, now back we go.
To be fair, in the last few years I have seen more banks than pharmacies. I even remarked to my husband that something has changed and is disconnected from reality.
Trump was talking about how negative interest rates would save America. Looks like all that did was create problems for the working class while the bankers enjoy special privileges.
Could also be one of those notorious rescue plans from the 08 crash.
Neither of these things helped the working class… maybe it floated the grifters for the last few years.
It was the "fundamental transformation" speech that turned me into a prepper. I started a large prepper group in Central FL at the time, and authored a book on the subject. Now I'm bugged out to rural America and am enjoying being the "gray man".
I think it's healthy to consider every "strategic relocation" to be a stepping stone to the next strategic relocation, but this situation is good for now.
I saw this discussed on Tucker Carlson’s show. The one guest told him that it might sound bad to have the banking system limited to big banks, but the system works for some European countries.
I don’t think that is the point. What doesn’t work is ESG in small banks because they aren’t large enough to hide the politics and, frankly, don’t want to. The politics are part of the cachet. Therefore people who put their money in an ESG institution, deserve to lose it. It was a gamble. They lost.
Big banks and investment firms are ESG, too. The customers have a choice if they want their investments invested in a woke manner, but does it really matter if the majority of the investments are woke?
It is easier for the government to control a few big banks than many small ones. It is the same reason they hate all small businesses.

That’s always been the case, yet small businesses have continued to do so over the years. They have to make payroll and pay their bills, so having more than $250,000 in one bank is how its been done.

Any business with large working capital would be crazy to risk it in a small bank at this point.
One key issue is how .gov wants to define “systemically important bank”—the top twenty, the top fifty, the top one hundred?
This is government by unknowable and unknown edict—the way the old Pharaohs and Kings did it.

Credit Unions have done that for decades. I used to use the one on Base, and now I use my hometown Credit Union. They have actual skin in the game and your money stays local.

Hmmmmm, so we close small banks. We get everyone to consolidate their money into big banks, that we control. We arrest political dissidents on trumped up (no pun intended) charges. What could go wrong?
Political crazies that decide to bankrupt you and throw you in jail for whatever minor offense they can drum up, then kill you, that’s what.
These are communists. Look at what they’re doing in Russia, in China. This is who they ARE.
If that does not scare you, I don’t know what else will.
