A Loyola University professor is claiming that organized pantries are rooted in “racist and sexist social structures,” and that the new so-called “pantry porn” trend, in which people show off their “neatly aligned glass spice jars tagged with printed white labels” and “wicker baskets filled with packages of pasta, crackers and snacks,” has become a status symbol for white women.
Associate professor Jenna Drenten wrote an op-ed for the website, the Conversation, in which she reacted to what she calls “pantry porn,” a phenomenon where “obsessively organized kitchens” have become “a new status symbol” on social media.

She has a point. After all, they took the jolly bI@ck lady off of the pancake box, and violence PLUMMETED. Get rid of videos about well organized pantries, and World Peace will follow. Ibram Kendi guarantees it.

I've come around to that conclusion myself. If your going to get the blame anyway, just embrace it. In the end though I'm a live and let live kind of guy. If anyone wants to be decent I let them. If someone just wants to beat me down I don't.

Slight topic change — and you might have interesting views on this, as a female —
Jordan Peterson has noted that many young women grow up without a healthy relationship to a father these days. Maybe there was a divorce. Maybe he’s just absent. Maybe there is a substance abuse problem. Or a mental illness problem. Anyway, a lot of young women mostly have negative or non-existent experience with males.
Therefore, some young women have trouble distinguishing between Good Men and Bad Men.
A strong, responsible, successful guy? Ooooh, that’s scary. He’s probably bossy, and domineering, and representing the patriarchy. Stay away from that guy!
A guy with a prison record, a drinker, a guy who gets into fights at the local bar? Hey, the strong, protective type!! He’s a keeper! If the little lady ever needs protecting from the cold cruel world, he’s the man who can do it!
It’s all backwards.
Similarly, this professor who (as you indicate) probably can’t take care of himself with any degree of skill, seems to be deathly afraid of competent individuals who can take care of themselves. Ooooooh, competent people! Scary!

I sense that the professor is actually attempting to out people who actually can afford to have a well-stocked pantry in their home, in contrast to people who do not have a pantry (or at least a pantry of any appreciable size).
The ultimate goal is to identify those middle class (presumably mostly white) people who have McMansions (which presumably have walk-in pantries, etc) along with (again presumably mostly white) preppers and (presumably mostly white rural folk) as belonging to the “other.” The ultimate goal is to move everyone into urban apartments and force them into jobs that can only be reached by public transportation. IOW, a DIE ghetto.
This is one more thing that middle class people need to feel guilty about along with the growing list of other stuff.
To be a proud card carrying member of the DIE/grievance movement, one is apparently required to invent a new imangined racist or sexist wrong, and then publicly announce it (preferably from the safety of an ivory tower).
Otherwise it seems like nonsense.
I would like to see her pantry. It’s probably full of cats. And used kitty litter. Yum yum! ( But not racist!! Because of course cats can never ever be racist!! Or sexist either!!)

My wife is going thru this craze.
The containers WASTE space because they are NOT shaped to maximize the cabinet storage volume.
(and stuff got MOVED from where they had been for DECADES!!!)
