When I checked the downtown cams yesterday, the streets looked to be in decent shape. The side streets, like the one going through your neighborhood, are the ones I figured were still on the icy side. They haven’t been plowed nearly as often as the main streets have. It sounds like there’s a lot of “fun” ahead when the melting really gets going. Y’all had a lot of snow this winter! I’ll bet no one is more ready for summer than the plow guys. LOL

Yes, one more item off to a new home.
I thought I had it sold to my soon-to-be new neighbor but he didn’t want to pay much for it. I said no dice and now it’s going to someone else for what I was asking for it.
I’ll miss seeing it out by the barn but I’ve enjoyed it for 24 years. Someone else’s turn.

Hey there, radu!
Very true. I can relax...if I could relax with the wind still howling to high heaven. Gosh, I wish it would stop! And it’s now 42 degrees. Down from the high 60s. What a strange weekend this is going to be.

I’m with you...I’m done with snow. I have quite enough and am ready for it to vacant. BUT, there are some years when the plow guys don’t get enough snow removal work, and the dump truck guys, who haul the piles away, don’t get much work at all. This year has been an abundance!!

The wind is still that bad there? Yikes! It’s been a little windy here but nothing like they said it would be. The rain is about to roll in now.
It’s 61 degrees now and that will be the high for the day. It’ll cool off a few more degrees once the rain gets here and once it moves out later in the morning, the temp will drop fast. It’ll be cold by the time I wake up in the afternoon and we’ll be cold through Monday with hard freezes every night. We’ll start climbing out of it Tuesday.
Can’t say I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Yes, it’s very nice to look at. I wanted it in our yard but Hubby was against it. He’d have to mow around it and since you can’t mow underneath, RoundUp would have to be sprayed to kill the grass. Brown spot in the yard. Ugly.
So at the end of the barn it’s been sitting, where a brown spot doesn’t matter. LOL

I think we’re going to have similar weekends, but of course, yours will be colder since you’re farther north. I hope you don’t get all the wind we have. It was really ugly here throughout the day.
I thought I saw that it was pretty chilly there early on. I was surprised when I looked about an hour ago and it was 60-ish. I knew you’d be happy about that part. LOL!

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Beach for this morning's thread.
We went to Chisolm Trail Park an hour earlier than usual to beat the storms yesterday. Thankfully though, they moved all around us and all we ended up with was some rain, thunder and then wind afterwards.
Pics from yesterday.
It feels a touch cooler this morning. Wearing a jumpsuit as I type this.
How's everyone doing this morning?

Howdy, EGC! ((hugs)) Glad most of the bad stuff missed you. Some of our N. Texas towns weren't so lucky. Gizmo sure looks ready to be on his next adventure!

no wind at all at the moment, now that it’s started raining. They blew that part of the forecast.
It’s been sitting at 60 or 61 since the sun went down, after a high of 68 here.
Poor frogs. There are a bunch of them singing out there tonight. They’re going to be very unhappy in a few hours.
Me too!

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Glad to hear the worst of the storms bypassed you.
Smart move heading out early so you and Gizmo could have fun under partly-blue skies.
