The ex-lawyer for Jacob Chansley, the Navy veteran known widely in the media as the "QAnon Shaman" for his outlandish look during the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, told Fox News' Tucker Carlson he had not seen the newly-released footage that could have aided his client against federal charges.
Watkins said the footage proves Chansley did not have all the evidence to decide whether he should go to trial or take a plea. (He ultimately took a plea.}
"This is about our justice system being so compromised, the very integrity and core of that, which we wore as a badge of honor for the entirety of our nation's history, has been rendered a vile, disgusting mess by a Department of Justice that was running amok," Watkins said. "And they didn't share the video of my client, the footage from my client with nine officers surrounding him peacefully, wandering about, trying to help them, trying to get him access to the Senate chamber. They didn't because it didn't fit their narrative."

Thanks for the info.
The prosecution didn’t do their due diligence to discover all relevant evidence and facts.
And didn’t share all relevant evidence and facts...even though THEY HAD UNEMCUMBERED ACCESS, IF NOT FULL POSSESSION OF THESE VIDEOS!!!
All convictions...even those with guilty pleas...are likely to be overturned in the end.
Our legal system is badly broken.
“Tragedy”? It’s a travesty! And cause for a new trial and vacatur of an illicitly obtained verdict and sentence. Absolute duty of prosecutors to provide the defendant with any exculpatory evidence.
I hope his lawyer will file a motion to vacate the conviction based on violations of Brady v. Maryland.
I’m saying it. This lawyer failed big or is part of the hoax.
Jail? Sounds like the Federal Effing Government Stooges need some good old fashioned hanging.
Lamberth was appointed by Reagan. He was one of the good guys for a long time. Then he changed.
Terrible choice of words. A lawyer should do better.
(My opinion) On the other hand, the DOJ and DC courts' onslaught against such defendants looked overwhelming at the time.
I can't find a news article that describes all this very well. Maybe in a day or so.
Correction, William Shipley now claims to be Chansley’s new lawyer, and was the one criticizing Watkins. Pierce and Shipley may be on the same legal team.
One guy…Clinesmith was prosecuted. He received a sentence of probation, was allowed to keep his law license and got lucrative consulting jobs from the media.
His bosses, whom he said were aware of his deception were not punished.
