Residents in Newburyport are demanding that the City Council replace the Massachusetts flag and seal, claiming that the imagery is problematic and helps promote the state’s racist history.
According to the Newburyport Daily News, the Council received a resolution on Feb. 27 asking them to support the work of the Special Commission Relative to the Seal and Motto of the Commonwealth. The Commission, in part, recommended replacing the seal and flag to better reflect the diverse residents now living in Massachusetts.
That same day, the resolution was referred to the General Government Committee in a 9-2 vote.

The MSM always seems to make it sound like it has widespread public support, when usually that’s not the case.
One of the reasons DC or Puerto Rico Statehood is such a hot item for libs, is that adding them provides a good excusing for redesigning the US Flag.
Why not just toss it overboard and approve a replacement that’s a nice Chinese red color with the hammer and sickle emblem on it? Or, how about a nice rainbow LGBTQIA+ flag with that emblem?
Once Reconstruction was over in the late 1870s / 1880s, many Southern states - with the Democrats back in charge - changed their flags to make a political statement about retaining their pre-Civil War culture, including white supremacy. It was pure politics. Looks like the Liberals / Democrats are at it again, although now they are doing so based on anti-white racial politics.

I lived in Massachusetts and I can tell you that most residents there wouldn't be able to identify the state flag in a multiple choice question, much less find something "racist" about it.
Fact is, most people are too busy working and living their lives to worry about such tripe.
Once again, we are allowing ourselves to be dominated by a small minority of busybody loudmouths with nothing better to do with their lives except try and find offense where there is none.
The clowns wanting to change the seal totally misinterpret the heraldic meaning of the various parts. They should be ridiculed for their ignorance but instead we waste everyone’s time and effort entertaining idiots who don’t even know what the heck they are talking about.

What’s funny is that if a Conservative proposed changing the flag, they would be accused of racism against Indians.
