Countering this is the news of, The Pentagon Forming a Diversity and Inclusion Office, and

allowing transgenders to serve in the military,

and with the Pentagon even ensuring free gender reassignment surgery for active military personnel,

with Army mandatory training now including training Army personnel to know what to do in such scenarios as when a soldier who was "assigned" a biological gender at birth says he/she identifies as another gender, and lives as such in off-duty hours, but is not requesting to be treated as such while on duty, versus if such later requests to be identified as according to their chosen gender during duty hours, and/or experiences increased distress relating to his/her gender identity;

while apparently as part of the Naval Sea Systems Command Inclusion & Engagement Council’s Diversity Team's video series called “NAVSpEAks,” the Navy posts video on "the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone's pronouns"

and the Air Force being with WOKEism in creating 'LGBTQ' and 'Indigenous Nations Equality' Focus Groups,

and also authorizing the use of gender pronouns in signature blocks,

and hosting a drag show at festival at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) on July, 2022, which also includes a poem on “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,”

while the Army arms itself with a woke recruitment ad featuring lesbians at a gay wedding and an LGBTQ pride march,

and the CIA funds a 'cisgender millennial with anxiety disorder' campaign, and with the

Marines and Navy as well as the Air Force and Army posting messages on social media supporting gay pride and Pride Month,

with the former posting rainbow bullets, and the latter a rainbow colored arm and hand in salute (essentially to the flag of Sodom)

and with the Navy naming a military ship after gay rights leader Harvey Milk, and (now) with a transgender veteran christening it,

along with the Navy's first all gay U.S. Navy helicopter crew,

and with physical fitness assessment failures being now scrubbed from sailors’ records, a clean slate that will allow them to remain in the service,

and lower fitness standards for women in the Army,

while nearly half of female soldiers are still failing the new Army Fitness Test,

and with military generals calling for Increased Diversity and More Women in Combat,

and changing its song to be gender-neutral,

and Forcing Marines to Make Boot Camp Coed,

and feeding cadets cultural Marxist propaganda about gender and masculinity therein,

to its new diversity and inclusion operation from West Point

and for its Special Operations Command ,

while showing a rapid response readiness to engage in online combat with the likes of Tucker Carson and other such enemies

thus nuking Jesus-themed candies on an Air Force bases

as well as the Pentagon ordering a company to stop making faith-based Dog Tags,

and prohibiting service members from “liking” or reposting "extremist" views on social media (depending on all the circumstances involved) as part of its prohibition against actively engaging in extremist activities,

yet allowing turbans and hijabs in the Air Force,

while working to rid the military of “extremism

such as the head of the US Space Force unit being fired and put under investigation for criticizing Critical Race Theory

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. (Ezra 9:6)

Also, last I saw, More Than 75% Of Americans Aged 17-24 Aren’t Fit For Military Service: (DOD) 77% of Americans in the above age group could not physically qualify to enter the armed forces – a 6% increase from 2017..CDC statistics also show that 19 percent of active-duty service members suffered from obesity in 2020, which is up from 16 percent in 2015. A U.S. Army general bluntly said that young Americans are either too obese, too sick, or too criminal to serve in the military. we have are obesity, we have pre-existing medical conditions, we have behavioral health problems, we have criminality, people with felonies, and we have drug use,” Lt. Gen. Xavier Brunson told The Spokesman-Review of Spokane, Washington.

And the Army dropped grenade throwing as a requirement to graduate because new recruits could not throw far enough. “We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 [82 feet] to 30 meters." Also, there is the Intellectual Decline of the Army Officer Corps. The size of the U.S. military in 2017 was half of what it was in 1990, and in general I think many signed up for the benefits rather than patriotism. 16% were women and racial and ethnic minorities made up 43%, and a poll from the Military Times and Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families conducted in July 2020, 49.9 percent of 1,018 active-duty military respondents had an unfavorable view of the president, compared to about 38 percent who had a favorable view. That poll showed Biden with a 4-percentage-point lead over Trump

"Sounds like they are getting set up to add a lot more non-citizens to our military.

I say more because we already do it, and have for many years, as a path towards citizenship."

That is a suicidal idea. The Romans attempted to do this with the Germans and within 100 years the German Visigoths sacked Rome on 24 August 410 AD. Just 65 years later the last Roman emperor was Julius Nepos who was overthrown by a Germanic Roman general called Orestes. Nepos ran away to Dalmatia in hiding, but he was brutally assassinated by his own troops.

Move to Mexico if you want Mexican overlords.

In basic we rarely stood still. We moved from place to place at a quick march or double time. Constant movement does not make for sedentary habits,

Dewey Oxburger : My name’s Dewey Oxburger. My friends call me Ox. You might have noticed that, uh, I’ve got a slight weight problem.

Soldiers : Nooo! Noooo!

Dewey Oxburger : Yeah, yeah I do. Yeah, I do. I went to this doctor. Well, he told me I swallow a lot of aggression... along with a lot of pizzas! Ha Ha Ha! Pizzas! I’m basically a shy person, I’m a shy guy. Uh, he suggested taking one these uh, aggression training courses. You know these aggression training courses like EST, those type of things. Anyway, it cost 400 bucks! 400 bucks to join this thing? Well I didn’t have the money and I thought to myself, “Join the army”! It’s free. So I figured while I’m here I’ll lose a few pounds. And you got what, a 6 to 8 week training program here? A real tough one. Which is perfect for me.

I’m going to walk out of here a Lean, Mean, Fightin’ Machine! Ha ha ha ha!

I think they're both right but I'd modify the doctor's statement, it's about 98% diet and 2% exercise.

It is not an either/or issue. An average hiker doing 20 miles at day on the Appalachian trail every day may lose weight while consuming about 4,000 calories a day, while if the same person sitting home but consuming only about 1400 calories a day would also lost weight.

Our modern sugar laden processed food diet is killing us.

Actually sugar itself does not add many calories, have no fat calories, but combined with fat is what make fudge taste so good. However, I find that sugar (beginning with hot chocolate) gives me quick energy to help me be active when tired, and since it does not add many calories then there is room for nutritious food, while consuming chicken skin, mayo, and other fats add calories with little nutrition. Lean protein is essential for energy though.

Thank God we have so much. Yet the whole world overall realizes a standard of living unknown in history. The down side is "The World Obesity Federation's 2023 atlas predicts that 51% of the world, or more than 4 billion people, will be obese or overweight within the next 12 years." - https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/03/world/world-obesity-2023-wellness-intl-scli/index.html

Hiking the Appalachian Trail is a bit of an extreme example. A person with a full time job can't come close to expending that number of calories during a day with any reasonable amount of gym time. Pounds are lost at the table, ounces in the gym.

It's not the calories in sugar that are the problem, it's the glucose and insulin swings which mess with your liver and pancreas. Eventually it increases insulin resistance which makes you pack on fat and leads to type 2 diabetes. After decades of that we're train wrecks. The calories are the least of the problem.

PT scores and “weight” became political correctness “tools” to weed out the politically incorrect. Congress can’t reverse that now without upsetting the “politically correct” soldiers who otherwise may not perform their assigned tasks correctly, which is why they did away with the MOS tests.

When I was in basic in 1969 at Ft. Lewis, they had Special Training Company (STC) where troops would be sent to get their minds and bodies right. The time spent there did not count towards boot camp graduation. Just the threat of going to STC was a great motivator.

When my brother went into the Air Force in 1969 he had been working at a building supply company for a year or two. Heavy work, loading sheet rock and such. In boot camp he got grief because the DIs thought he was showing off, making things look too easy. He said to him it just was that easy. I recall him doing a one handed pushup.

When I was 48 I was visiting Parris Island. I hand over handed with no legs to the top of the rope on the obstacle course. My father was with me, he was a little stunned. Yeah, I was showing off, I had been doing some working out in anticipation of doing it. Still, it was gratifying since a lot of recruits can’t do it at first.
