'My wife has greenlighted it,' RFK Jr. said of his potential 2024 run for president
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering running for president in 2024, challenging President Biden for the Democratic nomination, and he says his wife approves.
"I am thinking about it yes. I have passed the biggest hurdle, that my wife has greenlighted it," Kennedy told a crowd in New Hampshire on Friday, according to reports.
Kennedy's wife, actress Cheryl Hines, was reportedly attending the speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, which for nearly a quarter-century has been a must stop in the Granite State for potential or actual White House contenders.
Kennedy, the son of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy, describes himself as a lifelong Democrat and has faced criticism for his activism against the COVID-19 vaccine.
In his speech, he called the Democratic National Committee (DNC) decision to upset the presidential nominating calendar wrong, as it moves New Hampshire's primary from the first place into the third.
New Hampshire, which prides itself on its well-informed electorate and its emphasis on small-scale and grassroots retail politics, has for a century held the first primary in the race for the White House. While Republicans are making no changes to their presidential nominating calendar in the 2024 election cycle, the DNC last month voted overwhelmingly to approve a new top of the calendar, pushed by Biden, that upends the traditional schedule.

This brings in Newsom too.
ABC 2009:”In truth, Kennedy has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, a specific form of an involuntary movement disorder called dystonia that affects only the voice box”
I thought that star-crossed family was DONE in politics. Serve him right to keel over on the campaign trail.
I have a hypothetical question for Freepers.
If your ballot next November only had Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D) and Mit Romney (R) on it, who would you vote for?
my feet adios....
In 1983, when Kennedy was an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan,[citation needed] he was arrested and pled guilty to heroin possession and was sentenced to two years’ probation and community service.[14][15] Following his arrest he entered a drug treatment center and during his probation volunteered for the Natural Resources Defense Council. His probation ended a year early.[16] In 1984, Kennedy joined Riverkeeper as an investigator, and was promoted to senior attorney[17] when he was admitted to the New York bar in 1985.[16]
Kennedy is an environmental law specialist and partner in the law firms of Morgan & Morgan and of Kennedy & Madonna, LLP,[18] and is an advocate for environmental justice.
Through litigation, lobbying, teaching, and public campaigns and activism, Kennedy has advocated for the protection of waterways, indigenous rights, and renewable energy.[19]
In 2018, the National Trial Lawyers Association awarded Kennedy and his trial team Trial Team of the Year for their work winning a $289 million jury verdict in Dewayne “Lee” Johnson v Monsanto.[20]

Yup couple of years ago Joe Kennedy da Turd
(son of JoeK II) tried to go from US House to Senate—primaried Ed Markey and lost, 55% to 44%
That’s an interesting, even noble idea, but isn’t this the RFK son with some form of parkinsons’ disease?
Last time I saw him, he was shivering and stuttering like Katherine Hepburn in her older years. That is not going to attract many voters, famous last name or not.
Here’s an opponent for Kennedy:
Tricia Nixon.
Her husband is now a corporate attorney and was a chairman of the New York Republican State Committee. She serves on the boards of many medical research institutions, as well as the Richard Nixon Foundation at the Nixon Library in California. Their 50th wedding anniversary was in 2021.
I appreciated some of this Covid-19 related comments, but
that’s as far as it goes for me.
There isn’t a person on this forum that should consider this
guy seriously.
Bobby Kennedy Junior is far from a perfect man.
His stand against Fauci and Big Pharma has been brave and truthful.
I admire his position and thank him for what he has done.
Kennedy, absolutely.
I have a hypothetical for you:
If your ballot next November only had Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (D) and Trump (R) on it and at that Trump was still insisting he saved the world with the vaxseem, was still insisting the vaxseem is/was safe and effective and didn’t pan the idea of people getting the latest seasonal coronavirus mRNA vaxseem that is released in October 2024, who would you vote for?
My Advice to RFK Jr.... Stay away from California Hotel Ballrooms.
All these people wanting to jump in screw up the plan to have
the First Female President in VP Harris. Biden’s name would
plastered all around as having had the courage to bring a
female to the presidency.
Joe K III son of
Joe K II son of
Robert F Kennedy Sr.
Near the end of Joe K III’s unsuccessful
run for Senate ads were run saying “the fight is in his blood”—Blood...which perhaps
brought up memories of RFK bleeding on
the hotel floor.
It was a reply to Markey attacking Kennedy
family etc
The ads said “he’ll fight for racial justice—long promised but not delivered”.
Funny but this was after decades of Democrats were elected to accomplish it!
I have a hypothetical for you:
i’ll let you know if that happens...
‘My wife has greenlighted it,’
That’s just the kind of leadership we need.....
I can name about 18 of those right her on FR that would gladly jump and vote for this guy — bless their hearts — they are so one issue here is their savior.
Nikki should run for a Ukraine Office :>>
