Beachie? :-)
It sounds like a lot of us are putting up with windy days. I’m about tired of them! I hope you do get an early spring. We’ve had a lot of spring-like weather between cold snaps and you haven’t had those breaks. You need the break from cold.
Aaaaaah, looking for something to kill some time again, are you? I understand that well! I’m counting down the days until the museum reopens to break the monotony of winter. I hope you can luck on to something you’ll really enjoy.

We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
Tomorrow early morning is my grocery shopping day and Biden inflation really has my grocery bill going higher each week, really sucks!
You and the kittehs surviving?
Good night, beachy, and hope the sinus headache goes away with some sleep.
Howdy, Kathy.
Nice to see some sunshine up there today, and slightly warmer temps. Still too cold for a southern gal’s taste. LOL
But better than last week when you went out for your appointments.
Oooooooo, 60s will be nice after what you’ve been dealing with lately! That’s where we were today, and we had 70s the few days before. Quite a bit cooler before that. It’s been a wild roller coaster ride the past few weeks.
I hear ya on Biden inflation. Shopping for groceries or anything else is painful these days. I stopped by the store while I was out this afternoon and paid too much for the little I brought home.
The kitties and I are doing well enough. Pippin had a booboo eye but it’s doing much better now with meds from the vet. Everyone else is doing a-ok at the moment. They’re like a bunch of March hares right now, feeling the weather that’s about to move in overnight. They sense that stuff.
Howdy, luvie.
Is the wind calming down at all yet or are y’all still choking on dust and sand?
Hey there, radu!
It’s calmed a bit. Enough so the kitties could come out and eat their dinner without blowing away. I can’t find my patio door mat, though. It’s very heavy and I have no idea how or where it blew to.
Hope you’ve battened down your hatches for the coming high wind. Sure hope you don’t lose any trees!
Poor kitties. I’m glad the wind calmed down enough for them to venture out for supper.
You’ll find the door mat tomorrow when it’s daylight. It might be a couple of houses down. LOL
Yes, I’ve battened down as much as I can. I keep hoping it won’t get as bad as they predict but it’s going to be very windy, regardless. Not looking forward to it AT ALL.
They acted like they hadn’t eaten in days, which obviously was not the case. LOL!
I hope that they have over-hyped your wind speeds. At any rate it won’t be fun. I’ve been on edge all day.
You can feed them, then feed them again a half hour later and they’ll act like they haven’t eaten in days. It’s the way cats are. LOL
You don’t know how much I hope they’ve over-hyped the winds speeds. That’s scary. Being here alone now makes it scarier.
I understand your fear. We had a humongous ice storm when my hubby was in OK helping his mom. He was too far away and she needed him more than I did, but there was at least 1/2 inch of ice on the trees and everything else, including the roads. I called in and said I wasn’t coming to work no matter what they wanted. I was terrified of losing power. This is worse than ice. Where is the storm now? Is your “guardian angel” close by just in case?
I’ll take winds over an ice storm. I was without power for 5 days when we were hit in ‘98 and some people were up to three weeks without it. Streets were obstacle courses due to downed trees.
Winds will knock down trees here and there and some might take down powerlines. Ice storms knock down a lot more.
The front is still well west of us - - from east TX up through AR and beyond. It’ll come through TN in the morning and is supposed to come through here around noon. But the winds will be up long before that, ahead of the front and behind it. It’s supposed to start getting breezy around midnight or so and keep going from there. Should be blowing at a good clip by the time I go to bed in the morning.
Three “guardian angels” are close by and the 4th is a little ways off. They might have their own problems to deal with though. Just have to hope for the best for all of us.
It’s still windy here and is waaaay chillier than it was earlier. Right now it’s about 45, after being up to about 75 this afternoon. Darn roller coaster! LOL!
I had heard there were some tornadoes in the area where your storm is now. Hope those go away before reaching you. As well as the high winds.
Bible in a Year:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Like Jojie, we may have experienced troubled relationships that left us feeling wary—or even afraid—of trusting someone’s promise of love. We may even feel this way about God’s love, wondering where the catch is. There is, however, no catch. “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).Â
“Eventually, I realized God had already proven His love,” Jojie says, “by dying for me.” My friend discovered that since our sinful state separated us from God, He reached out to us by giving Jesus to die on our behalf (Romans 5:10; 1 John 2:2). Because of this, our sins are forgiven, and we can look forward to eternity with Him (John 3:16).Â
Whenever we wonder whether we can truly trust God’s love, let’s remember what Christ did for us on the cross. We can trust His promises of love, knowing that He’s faithful. Reflect & Pray
When or why have you found it difficult to trust God’s love? How can knowing Jesus died for you change your response?
Dear Jesus, thank You for the great love You showed me by dying for me. Let Your love change me, heal me, and direct my relationships.
Starting to get a little breeze now when there was none earlier. It still feels nice outside at 60. It was 65 when I was out this afternoon so it hasn’t cooled off much. A warm front is moving through now and that’s what the cold front will clash with tomorrow.
The barometer bouncing all over the place is painful. Every joint is on fire tonight. I’m ready for Saturday when all this stuff is OUTTA HERE. LOL
I saw a couple of tornado warnings along the front earlier this evening but none since. I’m keeping tabs. There’s the possibility of tornados tomorrow and I hope there aren’t many. Preferably none at all but that might be too much to hope for.
I hope there aren’t any tornadoes, too, but it tis the season. Now through May. Then hurricane season starts. Oh, how fun weather is. :)
Once the sun comes up to stir up the atmosphere, all bets are off. It’s warmed up a couple of degrees since the breeze started kicking up and the air’s unstable already.
They were talking on the news tonight about how some people in Nashville and in Cookeville, where my brother lives, are a little nervous because it was three years ago today that tornados ripped through and killed several people. I remember that night very well. It was a bad one.
Nothing we can do to stop whatever comes. Just have to hope for the best when all’s said and done.
We did go to Chisolm Trail Park but we didn't do any kind of activity. It was raining and thundering at the time.
We were under a severe thunderstorm watch but thankfully not much happened here. There were tornado warnings with some confirmed touchdowns in Eastern Oklahoma and Eastern Texas.
The storms have since moved and I think they're headed your way Radu.
So, how's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Glad you didn’t have any of the nasty weather others had. A shame you and Gizmo didn’t get to roam around the lake though. At least you’re in the clear for later today, though I suppose it’ll be cooler.
Yes, it’s going to be rough over here later today. Not a day I’m looking forward to, that’s for sure. Too much wind, even if we don’t get any of the severe storms here at the farm.
