Ukrainian president Zelensky just admitted that American troops will be needed to keep Ukraine from total collapse. At the same time NATO announces Ukraine will become a member of the alliance before too long. This is a non-starter for Russian President Putin. Amazing how they twist words. From if we lose then your troops will have to fight and die like Ukrainians are now because Russia/Putin will not stop to somehow you have to send your troops into Ukraine now to fight and die.
I think his point is valid. If Putin is not defeated and Russian aggression is not squashed Ukraine is not the last “SMO” we will have and it will not be limited to Ukrainians and Ukrainian territory
Lol and that is zalenskys point, right now Ukrainians are fighting and dying not others like you want to go over there and fight. He is not asking for that. He is asking for help with munitions and equipment that was built to fight Russian aggression. If Ukraine loses the rest of the world will be sending troops to fight and die because Putin will not be done with Ukraine and has said so

Zelensky gave a short version of the strategic position for many and this war has already greatly delayed Russia’s long-term plans.
I keep telling people that go on about Ukraine and Zelensky that our and NATO’s interest isn’t about Ukraine, it is about Russia, stopping Russia, and containing Russia.
We are so far ahead of where we were a year ago, If Ukraine falls tomorrow then they have already caused massive delays in Russia’s long term plans.

China will ban a naval and air war of which none of those capabilities have been degraded well at least not because of this war
Ahh, so Putin and the Russian have nothing to complain about as their tanks and IFVs get blown up by US and NATO guided missiles, and their troops and supply depots get blasted by HIMARS rocket and Excalibur artillery shells?
So - now we have folks wanting us to deploy to the Ukraine to protect the corrupt money-laundering machine - even as China spells out plans to “reabsorb” Taiwan...
Everybody has something I suppose.
They are hobbyists. Some folks like model trains. Some people like dressing up in bunny suits. Some people like to fantasize about a strongman like Putin winning for them where they have failed in life.
I don’t see that. I do see the some folks hoping to surrender to both Russian nuclear blackmail and Chinese communist party now. That would cut down on the white flag waving time, though. 2-for-1. Not bad.

So far, by fighting and surviving with US and NATO help, Ukraine has inflicted a strategic defeat on Russia. NATO has been reinvigorated, with Sweden and Finland joining as new members. The Russians have suffered the loss of about half of their tank force, the sinking of key parts of their Black Sea fleet, and more than 100,000 men killed. Putin is now openly questioning whether the Russian federation will survive. And a shocked China is questioning whether their military might suffer similar reverses against Taiwan.
200,000 casualties is not the same thing as 200,000 KIA.
Nothing but politics prevented MacGregor from being Trump’s secretary of Defense.
And if that doesn’t tell you what you need to know about Trump...nothing does.
