Credit card companies have a plan in place that will, to some degree, allow the tracking of gun and ammo sales. This was a move politicians pushed for, despite absolutely no one being able to actually show us how it will reduce mass shootings, violent crime, or anything else.
This is simply the latest step the financial industry has taken to hurt the firearm industry.
A lot of people are anything but keen on seeing something like this in place. In Florida, a bill will seek to implement a $10,000 fine on each instance of a company tracking the sales of guns and ammo.

DeSantis and the Florida legislature is doing things that every single red state governor and legislature should be doing. However, even red states are being governed by squishy, go-along to get along, "principled(TM) establishment GOP swamp-dwellers.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Time to do the same in Idaho.

You left off "conservative(TM)" which seems to mean keeping your plush seat comfortably seated in some nice conservative leather chair in some nice conservative club room of some nice conservative country club, drinking some nice well-aged burbon and discussing nice conservative subjects like the bad luck your golf partner had landing in that nasty patch on the dog-leg of the 7th hole. It's all very amiable and you never ever make a fuss about this or that dodgy issue raised by one of your unwashed constituents, who you don't care about since you don't need his vote again for another three years.
It would all be fine if these folks were just relaxing after a hard week of taking care that the country was running well, but the country isn't and they don't take care and don't do anything any of the rest of us would regard as hard work at all.

If a lot of people are or will go to cash, check, or some other means to avoid detection it could have a damaging effect for online retailers. Companies like CheaperThanDirt have sold absolute mega-tons of ammo online over the years by most folks using credit cards.

You are so right. There are enough “Republican” Governors to leverage a halt to so much of the leftist BS. DeSantis seems to be an outlier, the others just stand by and do nothing while the country burns. The others could exert pressure but they don’t.

Many states (For example Texas which has a legislature that meets for 2 weeks once every-other year) have a part time legislature. If the legislature is not meeting then no bills can be proposed, voted on, or be available for governors to sign

Have you noticed how Florida keeps innovating against the Woke fanatics? It can be done with a little imagination.

Duh. I am going to buy a gun to kill people so I will make sure to use a credit card.

Kari Lake would have done the same for Arizona, that’s why the McCainiac’s made sure Katie Hobbs won.

I would think it is 2 months
Similar in Nevada
