President Joe Biden said Wednesday on “PBS NewsHour” that the United States would not have an economic recession this year or next year.
Partial transcript as follow:
WOODRUFF: And I want to ask you about that because the picture you painted last night: unemployment, record low — the growth, the economy, what is it? Inflation is coming down, incomes are rising. And yet when you when you mention the polls, when you look at the polls, CBS poll, 64% of Americans think the economy is in bad shape. There’s an NBC poll, 71% think the country’s on the wrong track. Why the disconnect?
BIDEN: Because the polls don’t matter anymore. You got to make, what, 40, 50 calls and on a cell phone to get someone to answer a poll? Even the pollsters, you talk to them. Ask them what they think about this. Look.
WOODRUFF: So you don’t think it’s your policy?

That makes me feel soooo much better.
CC debt all time high.
Inflation. (Buy eggs, coffee, fill up your tank and pay your heating bill in one day)
Real estate bubble here and in China.
Growing inventories.
Etc…
Idiot is predicting the unpredictable. This year looks like slowing growth heading toward no growth (which is what needs to happen), nobody knows about next year yet, too many variables.
A recession is just a numbers game....rig the numbers...rig the recession.
The administration and the news media will not allow it to be called a recession. If a tree falls in the forest, and all the media outlets say it still stands, there will still be tons of LIVs living in sight of the tree that will say it stands also. Nuclear winter or a depression are probably more likely anyway.
We’ve been in a Recession, for the past 2 years.
A Depression is coming, this Summer.
Add in April 15. I would bet that one of Pelosi’s parting gifts was a huge tax increase.
He thinks we only have recessions when a Republican is in office.

Just like Brandon assured us that we don’t have inflation.
With the levels of federal debt and deficit, we will have either inflation or recession, or, more likely, both.
Or just change the definition of recession
Pharaoh has spoken, “So let it be written; so let it be done.”
Because it started two years ago it’s what democrats call normal when they are in control.
“We’ve been in a Recession, for the past 2 years.
A Depression is coming, this Summer.”
What recession for two years? Silly. FED is having a hard time even slowing this economy after multiple rate increases. Unemployment rate is at record lows.
And the constant calls for a depression have been wrong since the 30’s. Your statments are ludicrous.
Well, if the Treasury continues to diddle the economic factors like the PedoPres diddles kids imported across the border; of course there can be no reporting of a recession.
He may be right. Technically it will be a Depression and not a Recession.
