I have roof shoveling guys on my roof right now...so much snow and ice and I how have a leak in my kitchen. After lots of saturated towels, I got a cookie sheet and am redirecting the drips into the sink.

So I will be back and forth for a bit.

Howdy, Kathy.

It’s Hump Day at last.
A very snowy one at that. At least there’s a little break before the next round. The hits just keep coming. :-(

Holy crap!!! And we were just talking about this possibility last night. :-(
I hope no more leaks crop up before the guys finish getting the snow off your roof. You don’t need more added expense.

Howdy, PRO.

Still enjoy decent temps for getting out and about when you need to? It’s been nice here the past few days but that’s about to change as a front comes through overnight. Frogs won’t be happy. It’s been warm enough for a few to wake up and they’ve been chirping the past couple of nights. Poor little froggies have to go back to sleep.

Seeing Jesus

Bible in a Year:

Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.

John 14:9

At four months old, Leo had never seen his parents. He’d been born with a rare condition that left his vision blurred. For him, it was like living in dense fog. But then eye doctors fit him with a special set of glasses.

Leo’s father posted the video of Mom placing the new glasses over his eyes for the first time. We watch as Leo’s eyes slowly focus. A smile spreads wide across his face as he truly sees his mom for the first time. Priceless. In that moment, little Leo could see clearly.

John reports a conversation Jesus had with His disciples. Philip asked Him, “Show us the Father” (John 14:8). Even after all this time together, Jesus’ disciples couldn’t recognize who was right in front of them. He replied, “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?” (v. 10). Earlier Jesus had said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (v. 6). This is the sixth of Jesus’ seven “I am” statements. He’s telling us to look through these “I am” lenses and see who He truly is—God Himself.

We’re a lot like the disciples. In difficult times, we struggle and develop blurred vision. We fail to focus on what God has done and can do. When little Leo put on the special glasses, he could see his parents clearly. Perhaps we need to put on our God-glasses so we can clearly see who Jesus really is.

Yo radu!

Yes, we have lovely, sunny weather this week, was able to dress down to short-sleeves today, felt good.

I had my annual eye exam today and these old eyes still are 20/20 far vision, don't wear glasses unless I'm reading and I have a 31" HD computer monitor which is easy on the eyes.

Not much else to report, hope you're doing OK.

WOOHOO! That nice weather has felt good, hasn’t it? Great to get a break like that in February.
I didn’t break out the short-sleeves but was able to go out with just a long-sleeved shirt yesterday. A light sweater was called for today because it was a little breezy.

Now the wind is starting to kick up and it’s supposed to be pretty wild by the time I go to bed in the morning. No storms expected here but the wind will be stout.

Lucky you, having such good eyesight. Mine was shot years ago and without glasses, I can’t function.

And I envy you having room for that computer monitor! My computer’s in a rolltop desk to keep the cats away from it and I have room for a 17” monitor. That’s it. LOL Oh well, it does the job and that’s what counts.

Hey there, radu!

All is good here. Still coolish, but not awful. Dry as a bone, as usual. Glad it’s still nice there. You really needed a break!

I think they got the leak stopped. I dried off the cookie sheet and it has stayed dry.

He didn’t blame the skylight. He chipped away close to a foot of ice dam, and I noticed and he mentioned, the snow was deeper than the vents! He got the vents uncovered and part of the roof shoveled off. He said when they got here that Randall told them to get started, work on the ice, and get the leak stopped and they would be back later (I was shocked that they could come today.).

Randall and his company have taken care of the roof for years. My Dad didn’t always pick the best companies (and in hind sight I now know that he had Alzheimer’s much earlier than I knew)...Randall had to do some remedial work. So if they can get me through the winter, I will have to have some work done to get me through the next winter. It’s nice having a network of HELPERS / FIXERS when needed.

Glad to hear it didn’t cool off too much. Pretty much how it’ll be once the front moves through. And as of tonight, they’ve taken the chance for snow Friday night out of the forecast. That doesn’t mean they won’t put it back in though. LOL

It was warmer today than it was yesterday. Our next cooler day is Friday when it’ll be in the 40s again. Then up. Then down. Rinse and repeat. LOL!

Good that they took snow out of your forecast. Hope they keep it out! How is that winter wheat looking?
