A gay stepfather has claimed the lead pastor of a Christian academy and church told him he could not pick up his daughter from school because gay couples aren't welcome.
Don Williams and Jose Ortega said they were confronted by Heart Cry Christian Academy Pastor Billy VanCamp when they went to collect their 10-year-old daughter's Queen Creek city Baptist school in January.
The child is from William's first marriage.

Sounds like its because the school does not consider the father's boyfriend to be an actual stepfather.
No, they don’t, and they’re on solid footing. What makes someone a stepfather? Their simple declaration? Can this unrelated deviant adopt the girl even though she already has a mother and a father? I don’t think so.
Seems its since he is considering himself the "stepfather" of the girl because he is in a gay "marriage" to the girl's father. Apparently the school does not consider his gay "marriage" to be sufficient to make him the girl's stepfather.
It does not seem at all to be because he happens to have same sex attraction and the school found out.

He probably had to explain to the school his relationship to the girl since the unrelated sodomite planned to sometimes pick the girl up from school. Yeah, they’ve created this mess and will have to work around it.

You are likely correct-one of the reasons my husband and I sent our cub to a private school-Catholic-was the security-much better than public school-they did not even allow a non-custodial biological parent to pick up a kid without a verified, signed form from the custodial parent and a photo-no exceptions. Otherwise, who knows what kind of people could grab a kid? It sounds like this school is just following that type of safety protocol-and the homosexual partner decided to be a drama queen-like they always do-making it about his sexuality to get some attention-it smells like a setup to me...
I pity the poor little girl-her dad’s boyfriend not only outed himself with his little tantrum, but the kid as well-she is the one who will be teased, questioned, shunned, etc-what selfish adults-that is one dad that I think should lose custody...
