Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov will likely be dismissed from his ministerial post next week, Ukrainian news outlet Ukrainska Pravda reported on Feb. 5, citing government and military sources.

According to the sources, the likely replacement for Reznikov is understood to be Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence agency HUR.

In a soon-to-be-published interview with Ukrainska Pravda, Reznikov reportedly denied any knowledge of an imminent dismissal.

“I have not had any conversations about my resignation from this position,” he reportedly said.

A government source confirmed to the Kyiv Independent that Reznikov was likely to be replaced in the very near future.

This was the position Vindman was offered twice

It’s a matter of time before Zelenskyy steps down, I just don’t see him staying in his position. Everyone he’s brought in with him into the junta seems to have been removed. He is isolated, weak. Can we start a pool to see how long before he’s gone, one way or another?

A distraction and effort to buy more time.

You don’t dismiss a Defense Minister who’s winning a war.

That’s a shame. Recent “polls” show that most “Americans” really liked Oleksii and thought he was a pretty nice guy.

Meanwhile THIS is what EU is celebrating in Ukraine. While hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are dying at NATO's behest, they get free LED light-bulbs (probably made in China) from Queen Van der Leyen.

I had to check and confirm this is true (which it is). Its absolutely incredible what a clown-world Western leadership is.

Sure is a lot of turmoil there. How many high level leaders have been gone. And the Ukes just raided the home of Zelenisky’s main benefactor, billionaire Igor Kolomoyskyi.

The end result of all this is Zelensky.

Those LED light bulbs cost app. $3-$10 dollars a pop making this an excellent money laundering opportunity.

Zelensky is worried some of his subordinates may be plotting against him.

The end result of all this is Zelensky.

The CIA director visited Zelensky three weeks ago. Since then there has been a helicopter crash killing the Ukraine's interior affairs minister, while other 4 high level resignations have happened. Yes, it's over for HIM.

I am sure US and/or European intelligence agencies have all Ukraine leaders wiretapped/hacked a dozen different ways.

If anybody is plotting against anybody they know—the only question is what they choose to share with the Z.

“”Those LED light bulbs cost app. $3-$10 dollars a pop making this an excellent money laundering opportunity.””

LED bulbs have been given away in the US for many years, and still are.

We can buy retail LED bulbs 60-watt equivalent either daylight or soft white for $1.00 to $1.08 at Walmart, it must be vastly cheaper dealing in tens of millions of bulbs made for giveaway purposes.

“I have not had any conversations about my resignation from this position,” he reportedly said.

None of this sounds or looks good. Either they need a replacement because the strategy isn't working, or a military coup might be imminent.

Well, as head of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, Kyrylo Budanov would have large responsibilities for Ukraine’s propaganda efforts. Those efforts have been VERY effective (e.g., you can’t open Free Republic without being overwhelmed with their propaganda) so I can see why he might be a good candidate for promotion.

I don’t know if Zelensky will be implicated in this nor do you. I would say that the odds are likely that Zelensky is corrupt. It’s the Ukraine and its kind of baked into the cake.

What I can say with a high degree of certainty is that there is likely a story that is about to drop in the West highlighting the corruption with Western aid in the Ukraine.

This would be a real coup for Putin too and it would not surprise me if the Russians are pushing the story. They would be idiots not to and there are interviews of Ukrainian soldiers cursing their higher-ups for corruption because they feel that certain things which were provided are NOT making it to the guys on the front line.

Then we have the stories of “weapons” and other items being sold on the black market.

Just prior to the GOP congress demanding accountability for the ridiculous “amount” of aid we have provided we suddenly have a housecleaning happening within Zelensky’s government. Will it reach all the way to him? Who knows, but everyone can see that this is a very bad look.

On top of all this “corruption” there is another problem facing the Ukrainians. They are taking too many casualties in the “trench warfare” right now and they have very few “reserves”. From a tactical standpoint it makes little sense for them to do this until you understand that they cannot afford any “defeats” even if the withdrawal would be the wise choice.

Why? Because any sign of defeat will likely cause Western leaders hesitation in supporting Zelensky and the Ukrainian military.

What will the stories of corruption among Ukrainian leaders do for Western support? What will it do for morale of the Ukrainian soldiers sitting in wet foxholes being shelled? Again, there are already videos from embedded journalists where Ukrainian soldiers are complaining about this. Morale can be a fragile thing in a foxhole.

You cannot ignore the likely role our own leadership has played in the corruption game over there. Our CIA, State Dept, and Pentagon has likely known that some of our “aid” has been diverted by Ukrainian leaders but they chose to ignore it or look the other way. Our government also ignored this during our “War on Terror” and we had tens of billions (likely more) just “disappear”.

I would suspect that some of our media outlets are already sitting on corruption stories because they know how damaging it will be to the “supporters” of the Ukraine. They also understand how damaging this will be for Ukrainian morale.

There are fractures within the Ukrainian military and this is definitely not going to help because the stories will come out soon. This is the only reason I can think of for the frantic “house cleaning”.

I’m not surprised you’d step in to defend the steaming mess of corruption that is the Ukraine. Tell me something. When you were acting as a NATO warrior was part of your duties to hand out LED 💡 lightbulbs?
