According to court records, John Michael Musbach, 31, of New Jersey, paid $20,000 to a fraudulent murder-for-hire site on the darknet to have a child he had sexually exploited killed.
According to the criminal complaint, in the summer of 2015, Musbach exchanged sexually explicit photographs and videos with a 13-year-old victim via an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) website. The victim's parents found out and contacted the police.
The police arrested Musbach on March 31, 2016. On October 11, 2017, Musbach pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child by sexual contact. He was sentenced on February 9, 2018, to a two-year suspended sentence with parole supervision for life.
In 2019, an informant contacted HSI agents and provided private messages exchanged between the admin of a darknet murder-for-hire site and an individual using the moniker "agentisai".

Meanwhile, the open-borders leftists are ALLOWING and ENCOURAGING china and cartels to murder 14 year olds every single day with fetanal trafficking.
can someone please explain exactly what the “dark-web” is?
Geez. What a complete. dirt bag. On top of it - it took from 2016 when he put out the hit to him being arrested for that in 2023. That’s a long time.
He had already been sentenced for his pedo crime. I hope they keep him behind bars this time.
As a matter of academic interest, how does one access the “dark web”?
wdw rather than www?
wimachtindinc wingolowshic wetahemiway
It’s where the underworld of crime and the most unthinkable crimes takes place because otherwise they’d be outed. I’m glad law enforcement is scouring the dark web. Can’t imagine having that job.
Add me to those pondering.
I would imagine the turnaround in that department is high.
I’m sure you need a vpn among other ways to access the pit of hell.
I think there is a fake website called “Hitman for Hire” or something such as that. It has a form to fill out giving the pertinent information as to the target. People actually go to the site and complete the form giving their real name and personal information, a lot of the time being ex-wives who want to collect life insurance on their former spouse. If the owner of the site finds their request credible, he contacts LEOs.
(According to FR protocol, I haven’t read the article so do not know if it mentions the site).
what part of NJ?
That Dark Web does not seem like a very good place to hire a hitman, eh?
I know the courts ground to a halt in 2020 due to the pandemic, which can explain why he was arrested in August 2020. Why it took three years to get a plea deal is a good question. However, if Musbach was behind bars all this time, that's just a crying shame...
It's not clear if the site turned over this info to law enforcement, or just who was the informant. If I had to guess, the informant waited until after the dirtbag was sentenced in 2018, possibly because that sentence was so lame.
The other interesting thing, was that the Bitcoin transaction was traced back to this dirtbag.
Parents need to deal with these pr##s on their own, they will never get the satisfaction they need by allowing the liberal puke politicians, lawyers and parole boards deal with this
I thought bitcoin was super reliable and not hackable?
Was I lied to?
Probly a FBI/NSA listening post that arrests whomever goes there wanting someone to break the law for them.
Yes, can’t imagine the horror those policemen encounter. It would give me nightmares. Prayers up for those cops.
That's the way it's been hyped.
Was I lied to?
Some evil people in our society.
