ChatGPT Boss Sam Altman Hopes AI Can ‘Break Capitalism’
Breitbart ^ | 4 Feb 2023 | Lucas Nolan

Sam Altman, the CEO of ChatGPT creator OpenAI, recently spoke to Forbes in an interview about the future of AI and the development of ChatGPT which Altman hopes could one day “break capitalism.”

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was recently interviewed by Forbes magazine about the company’s progress and future plans. OpenAI is considered to be the hottest and most scrutinized startup in the rapidly growing generative AI category. In the interview, Altman talked about the company’s journey and its meteoric rise of its first product, ChatGPT. The AI chatbot has proven controversial due to its absurdly woke politicized responses, such as waxing poetic about Joe Biden and demonstrating leftist bias on a wide variety of popular topics.

It’s not always correct. I caught it in some wrong answers to some easy questions. Not sure how it could mess up the colors associated with several college football teams but it did.

It is quite impressive but not there yet. But this is only release 3.

We have known this is coming for decades and eventually this technology will outperform humans in what it does. Right now it is basically a super staffer for CEOs, writer and coder.

Yeah, all the current systems suck. Capitalism is by far the least sucky, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.

I think there’s gotta be some better place between what we have and some dystopian future nightmare scenario of command economics. Not like the left and right really differ all that much in the real world on economics anymore anyway.

I asked AI:

write a paragraph on the positive aspects of fossil fuels

Fossil fuels have been a major source of energy for many years. They are a reliable and affordable source of energy, providing a large portion of the world’s energy needs. Fossil fuels are also the most efficient forms of energy in terms of energy output per unit of energy input. This makes them very cost-effective and efficient to use. Additionally, they are easy to transport and store, making them ideal for energy production. Finally, they do not require any complicated infrastructure or processes to extract and use, which makes them a very accessible source of energy.

Asked the same question, sort of, in a different way

write a paragraph on fossil fuels

Fossil fuels are natural fuels that are formed when dead plants and animals are exposed to extreme heat and pressure over millions of years. They are the main source of energy for our modern world. The most common fossil fuels are coal, oil, and natural gas. They are called “fossil fuels” because they were formed from the remains of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. Fossil fuels are non-renewable resources, which means they are in limited supply. Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere that contribute to global warming. It is important to find alternative sources of energy to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

what mistakes has the biden administration made

1. Early missteps in handling the influx of unaccompanied minors at the southern border, including failure to adequately prepare for the surge in arrivals and delays in providing adequate resources to border communities.

2. Slow rollout of the American Rescue Plan, with a lack of transparency in the process.

3. Lack of a clear plan to address the growing climate crisis.

4. Not doing enough to address the root causes of the migration crisis, including poverty and violence in Latin America.

5. Appointing too many Wall Street executives to his team, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest.

6. Failing to adequately address the root causes of the Affordable Care Act’s high premiums and lack of choice in many markets.

7. Mismanaging the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

8. Not doing enough to address global hunger and poverty.

9. Failing to address the ongoing crisis in Yemen.

10. Not doing enough to address the global refugee crisis.

What mistakes did the Trump administration make

1. Failure to adequately prepare for the pandemic and its economic fallout.

2. Failure to take action to address systemic racism in the U.S.

3. Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement and rollback of environmental regulations.

4. Separating families and detaining children at the border.

5. Fostering an environment of division and hate, including a rise in white supremacy.

6. Repeal of the Affordable Care Act and dismantling of the health care system.

7. Dismantling of the Iran nuclear deal and exacerbating tensions in the Middle East.

8. Alienating allies and undermining diplomatic relationships.

9. Creation of an economy that favored the wealthy over the working class and poor.

10. Failing to address the opioid crisis and rising drug addiction.

I still call BS on the claim of bias.

Actually, I did a post on this very subject today. Read the ChatGPT responses in the post. The response to identical questions about Trump and Biden are dramatic and clearly far left.

The different treatment of Jan 6 and the COVID riots is the same. Covid Riots holy. Jan 6 riots crazy extremists etc.

You can see the questions asked and the answers given here:

When I see this type of vitriol directed at fellow Freepers, I find myself wondering if conservatives could even win a fair election.

Hey. He started it. Just because we have a difference of opinion does not make me an idiot. I have been talking to this thing for weeks and never got a biased answer to an unbiased question. Ask a question slanted and you will get a slanted answer.

I don’t trust bitcoin and the rest are a disaster with a huge environmental impact.

It’s not that it’s new. Software is only as good as the coding and coding on ChatGPT is garbage.
