Hunter Biden's lawyers called on federal and state prosecutors across the country to open criminal investigations into his critics on Wednesday – and in doing so, acknowledged that the notorious laptop is indeed Hunter's.

Biden's attorney, Abbe Lowell, wrote letters to the Justice Department and the Delaware attorney general calling for investigations into Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon and John Mac Isaac, who owns the computer repair shop where Biden is said to have left his laptop. Biden's lawyers also sent cease and desist letters to others who obtained and disseminated the laptop's contents.

Lowell argued in the letters that Mac Isaac and the others had no right to inspect the contents of Biden's laptop, much less make copies of it to share with the media.

“What is the statute of limitations on leaking information?”

Well, “leaking information” would have to be a crime first before there could be a statute of limitations to apply to it.

You bring up an interesting point about the laptop being booked as evidence.

Also, did Hunter ever file a lost/stolen police report for the item? Probably not.

Maybe so, nearly all responses on this thread address points in Law about Property and Privacy.

It would be easier to miss sarcasm, sorry.

Well, they did read any “secret documents” Hunter had in the computer. I do not think they has high enough security clearances to do that. /s

Investigate Hunter Biden? Are you NUTS? This may even involve Joe Biden himself. And Joe, at all costs, must remain untouchable.

And then what? Joe (and Jill) Biden would be put in the position of explaining away the apparently serious allegations that they somehow had something to do with the suspicious deals that Hunter was involved in, and may have personally benefited from the proceeds of several of these deals.

This is sure to bring great shame upon the Biden family syndicate, and may compromise Joe’s ability to discharge the duties of his office. Not that Joe had been doing all that well up to now.

Hunter’s back on crack. No doubt.

But his lawyers must be also. Have they forgotten a well known legal process called Discovery?

Despite years of democrats stalling on revealing the scummy, sick, perverted details of the laptop - Biden is himself opening up this Pandora’s Box.

Its wasn't Biden's laptop anymore so the issue mute.

That was my first thought as well. But if I understand it correctly, that horse is already out of the barn.

There have to be dozens of cloned copies of it by now. Just try to stop them from being seen by the public eye.

Excellent! You too, are very observant, Discovery (which works both ways), will suck for everyone but Hunter’s targets.

"...51 former and current intelligence officials most certainly look pretty darn stupid right about now..."

Fortunately for all of them, they are all disciples of a murderous and decietful ideology to whom total immunity from embarrassment and shame are vital compenents.
