As if the cost alone weren't enough to make the millions of illegal migrants brought in by Joe Biden's open borders unpopular here, the ingratitude and entitlement mentality of these illegals now seals the deal.

According to National Review:

More than 50 migrants camped outside the Watson Hotel in Manhattan in protest on Sunday night as the city sought to move the single male migrants to a new shelter at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to make space for migrant families.

The new shelter holds as many as 1,000 single adult men and provides the same services the migrants had been receiving, city officials told the New York Post. The shelter is the fifth Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center to open in the city since last year.

The New York Post noticed a funny resemblance in the migrants' demands and left-wing NGO sloganeerings.

I know that some posters like to jump on the Catholic church as being responsible for this massive invasion of illegal aliens who are flooding America. However, even the Catholic church has not got the resources to finance millions of illegals and in fact have been bringing in, legally, immigrants who are pre vetted and who are placed in sponsor homes. I have never supported this arrangement because it is outside the realm of the spiritual mission of the Church. I would also point out that other denominational and independent non Catholic churches are just as involved in legally sponsoring foreigners under the same requirements as applied to the Catholic church.

I explained the facts. The Catholic Church is not on trial, nor is it responsible, for illegal aliens invading America. No defense needed. All other issues aside, if you were a single male who was given a free hotel room would you want to be moved to a marine barracks sharing one of 1000 cots?

The Biden Admin’s inaction on this front is catastrophic. It’s bad for the country, bad for the cities, bad for the immigrants, bad for the legal residents, bad for young people who end up getting fentanyl laced pills, bad for the people being sex-trafficked. It’s good for the Cartel - probably the same Cartel that got Eric Holder’s cache of rifles.

We already have housing shortages and housing inflation. Increasing demand for apartments and homes by, call it 2 million “families” (the true number of migrants is probably closer to 7 million) is not just going to make legal residents pay more for housing; it’s going to take a decade to build enough housing units and of course the big question - where to build them? They obviously can’t easily build 20,000 new units in New York City. And I bet the border states are loathe to approve large scale housing projects for low income families.

The Venezuelan Government has been coordinating and facilitating large numbers of emigrants, who are part of problematic towns and groups. But it appears that many aren’t fleeing communism. They’re coming for ‘better’, richer communism. Not to work, and for the ‘American Dream’, but for more robust social programs and ‘American Largess’.
