As a medical student and researcher, I staunchly supported the efforts of the public health authorities when it came to COVID-19. I believed that the authorities responded to the largest public health crisis of our lives with compassion, diligence, and scientific expertise. I was with them when they called for lockdowns, vaccines, and boosters. I was wrong. We in the scientific community were wrong. And it cost lives.

I had in good faith until March 2020 that the scientific community and government were trying to do the right thing, since it was conceivable that they didn’t have a good understanding of covid.

However, once April came around, that was the end of my good faith.

I do believe that the initial response was based on the best scientific information available at the time. The problem was that the whole thing quickly became politicized and monetized. That's when everything went to hell.

What is scary is how many 'sudden deaths' are still to come. Those increased significantly last year. So what will come this year? And next year? And the next 5 years?
