I guess it has officially hit the fan if News weak is reporting this.

He keep on using the word “we”. There were plenty of dissenters, but I guess they’re no longer considered part of the “scientific community”.

A simple proof. Get the bastids really sick with COVID, and inform them they are going on ventilators!

How about the leaders in this country who left people to die alone without loved ones for a couple of years. And even now brag about lives saved.
It’s a lie, I saw it in my hospital.
Start from the top.
Healthcare died decades ago with the CMS administrative state. That’s why you and your loved ones stay sick.

I had in good faith until March 2020 that the scientific community and government were trying to do the right thing, since it was conceivable that they didn’t have a good understanding of covid.
However, once April came around, that was the end of my good faith.

I do believe that the initial response was based on the best scientific information available at the time. The problem was that the whole thing quickly became politicized and monetized. That's when everything went to hell.

I was with them when they called for lockdowns, vaccines, and boosters. I was wrong. We in the scientific community were wrong. And it cost lives.
What is scary is how many 'sudden deaths' are still to come. Those increased significantly last year. So what will come this year? And next year? And the next 5 years?
I doubt we have seen the end of 'sudden deaths'.

I thought this might be one of Newsweek’s occasional forays into journalism. It has promise, but needs more details.

It’s actually way too late.
The reputation of the vast wide-spread majority of the medical/pharmaceutical industry has been shot in the butt.
Yugely.

But he didn't.
He made it worse.

I believed that the authorities responded to the largest public health crisis of our lives with compassion, diligence, and scientific expertise. I was cynical from the very beginning, believing that the primary purpose of the response was to wreck the economy because that seemed the only way they could get rid of Trump.

One of the main ways it cost lives was that bringing the nation's economy to its knees destroyed the dreams (and ban accounts) of millions...with predictable results.
