The intent to inflict serious bodily damage resulting in death

2nd degree murder.

Seems pretty clear to me this is an easy case

Yep. The employers have a real need for wisdom in dealing with their native workforce. Unbelievable stories. Great opportunities for developing your management and supervisory skills. Imagine a few hundred thousand Tyre's and cops you saw in the workforce. All emotionally driven and mostly feral. Largely illiterate, making $80K in a factory.

Not a place to raise your family. It's really third world.

The city was much better under A.C. Wharton.

>> And ended with cops that didn’t stop excessive force even long after the perp was more than subdued

Except Derek Chauvin and the other MN cops. They were flat railroaded to serve a foreordained leftist agenda. Terrible injustice.

If the ‘rules’ are to beat cuffed people to death over reckless driving, it might be time to consider ditching ‘civilization’ and the ‘rules’ that come with it

He was not and it is quite clear he was trying to get an understanding why those cops were acting like jerks to him.

interesting. Do you know why officials chose to release this on a Friday night? Sometimes they release unflattering news this way hoping people are distracted by the weekend - but that’s more like bad economic indicators, low approval ratings. Releasing these videos today just gives idiots like BLM and Antifa an excuse to rampage all weekend.

You’re okay with what happened?

Another asinine question.

People here are debating WHY it happened.

We have Rights after we are cuffed. Maybe we need them before anyone is put in cuffs. We should have the Right to know why we are being restrained by authorities.

Do you know why officials chose to release this on a Friday night?

They wanted to wait for the population to leave schools, leave work, go home and settle down for dinner before they released the videos.

The figured: 1) get people off the streets so that potential rioters can't block roads to trap commuters as potential targets of violence, and 2) get students home so they're not already out in the urban centers where they can quickly gather and organize.

You did watch Video 1 right?

Let’s see how you react to being pulled out of your car for a traffic violation.

He had no reason to be arrested. He should have been cited for a traffic violation.

“What do you think would have happened to him if he had immediately allowed himself to be placed in the prone position and had his wrists cuffed? Why did he think resisting arrest and then running off was going to make the situation any better at the beginning?”

1. He knew them? Neighborhood
2. Revenge “arrest”. Eg. “There that ____guy, let’s nail him”
“Let’s teach his ____ ____ a ____ lesson.”. ??

We should have the Right to know why we are being restrained by authorities.

Normally, we do.

We have the 5th amendment protection against self-incrimination, which has popularly been interpreted as "the right to remain silent." This right is inherent in everybody at all times and doesn't begin only when a police officer "reads you your rights."

Police always ask someone who is pulled over "Do you know why I pulled you over?" This is intended to get the driver to give up their 5th amendment protection against self-incrimination. The proper response is to say "I don't know" and ask the officer why they were pulled over. The burden is on the state to prove someone's guilt, not on the driver to admit to what they did in an ambiguous situation.

I posted this thought the other day in this thread, and FReeper MeganC was kind enough to share this video of a traffic stop gone wrong over this very point in New Jersey.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5mbbq_HCOE

tl;dr the driver took the city to court and won a $30,000 settlement with the police not admitting any fault.

“I’m going to be honest with you about the stop itself. What was said was there was witnessing of what was considered reckless driving,” police chief Cerelyn Davis told CNN on Friday. “We’ve looked at cameras. We’ve looked at body worn cameras. Even if something occurred prior to this stop, we’ve been unable to substantiate it.”
