Just over a quarter of Americans in a new poll believe House GOP leaders are focusing on the country’s most important issues, and Republicans, in particular, report dissatisfaction with the heads of their party.
According to a new CNN poll, just 27 percent of Americans think House Republicans are prioritizing issues appropriately.
The remaining 73 percent of Americans think the GOP leaders haven’t paid enough attention to the nation’s top problems.
Almost half of the respondents who identified as Republicans and Republican-leaning independents — 42 percent — disapprove of their party’s congressional leadership, while just 22 percent on the Democrat side report dissatisfaction with their top lawmakers.

And naturally the respondents believe the issues that they should be prioritizing are social justice, Ukraine, Investigating Trump and Spending more money. You know the one’s that got the democrats tossed out of office.
So typical of the media.
Ping
This is what Democracy (Mob Rule) looks like. The issue is not the issue. THe narrative is the issue.
Every day the “Progressives” broadcast their two minute hate speech on the Marxist Media outlets. No one is listening to the facts. When gas prices go up (and they will) it is the Republcans fault even though we all know it’s bake in right now.
Conservatives must learn to play Hard Ball.
A CNN poll brought to you by The Hill. A double credibility whammy.
You left out Green initiatives and global climate change
Now that you mention it, I cant remember a single CNN poll asking respondents if they thought the Democrats were focused on the wrong things as they launched investigation after investigation of Trump from 2016 through 2020.
It’s difficilt to give up the govmint teat.
In the end, it's a meaningless result.
I’d have to be in them focusing on the wrong things group. Right now getting rid of the NFA and ATF would be on top.
That the same reason why the country going on the right track or wrong track is a meaningless question.
Regardless the GOP in Congress is silent on the escalation in Ukraine the push towards nuclear war.
Only Trump has made any meaningful statement regarding the push towards nuclear war in recent days.
The difference between R’s and D’s is not surprising.
D’s in congress are pretty radical and dutifully toe the line on all issues the teachers union, planned parenthood and the hard greens want.
R’s in congress are partly conservative and partly assistant democrats and as a group have done a very poor job of actually advancing issues their voters care about like freedom of speech, gun rights, not spending so much money, border security, hollowing out of our manufacturing capabilities, destruction of the middle class, etc.
The assistant democrat lock on our party is kept in place by massive establishment R spending out of DC in primaries and refusing to support conservatives financially in the general election.
So it isn’t surprising that Republican voters are very skeptical of their reps in congress.
They always say this and polls will show Congress has a lower approval rating than the President.
Inflation and the economy.
Start worrying about all the other, non economic social crap once inflation and unemployment are below three percent and the market above 45,000; until then I don’t give the slightest damn about *any* social issue.
And, what did the poll say about the Democrat-led Senate and its priorities? Oh, there wasn’t one of those?
IMO Polls are FAKE NEWS
Fake News...Fake Polls.
Stupifyingly ignorant...
What Democrat is going to say they’re doing good? No one...
Many Republicans are too busy working and paying bills to
pay attention day to day. It hasn’t been four weeks since
the players were sworn in. Then there was the Speaker’s
nomination process.
Did they run polls like this after a couple of weeks of
normal business into any Democrat controlled session?
They are trying to set the tone for this session of
Congress, and I hope it blows up half way down their
throat.
Exactly.
