Evangelical pastor Franklin Graham, a longtime supporter of former President Trump, says he will not endorse Trump — or any candidate — in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.
“I’m going to stay out of it until after the primaries have finished,” Graham told CBS News on Friday at the March for Life rally in Washington, D.C.
Graham also told CBS News that it was an “easy decision” not to endorse someone during the 2024 primaries.
CBS noted Graham doesn’t generally endorse primary candidates, but his remarks come as tensions have been rising between evangelical groups and Trump in the months after he announced his third bid for president. Trump said in an interview earlier this week that evangelical leaders are showing “signs of disloyalty” because they have yet to endorse his 2024 campaign.

Franklin Graham...says he will not endorse ...any candidate in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.
When you cut out the spin, its not really anything to make a headline about.
The article says that doesn’t generally endorse primary candidates. This is the hill attempting to incite division.
I’m more concerned about stupid Americans more than anything-—you can’t legislate us back to morality, right thinking and being accountable/good people.
We have lost that in this country and we need to focus on taking back things locally before anything else. We need to take back (starting with) the Churches. We need to take back the family and order in the family through Christ’s teachings.
If the Church is truly accountable to Christ and families are truly accountable to Christ then we really start taking back this country. Otherwise, hoping a politician changes it is going to have the opposite effect.
Isn’t it too early to decide this kind of thing?
No, the media lie to divide?
Just another preacher with a $10 million net worth. Nobody should look to a guy like him for a presidential endorsement. Preachers don’t lead the fight in a dangerous world. Generally, they stay with the wagons and the women and children when the Indians attack. They have their youth, but that’s not who you want running a nation.
Trump could lose the pool boy vote.
Its pretty clear that Trump not really that socially conservative especially compared to someone like DeSantis. So it would make sense that an evangelical leader would be lukewarm to him.
He’ll probably host all of Trump’s challengers, so he can milk it.
This is the act of a coward.
If you want to label that the action of a “long knive” go right ahead.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)
And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. (Ezekiel 9:3-6)
Who the f*** cares anymore...
I am so sick of the constant Trump bashing in the media. He accomplished more in 4 years against the Deep state all by himself, than anybody else in five decades
“This is the Hill attempting to incite division.”
The Hill and Politico are consistently the two worst publications when it comes to creating friction among Republican voters.
This is the OP attempting to incite division.
What in Hades is wrong with these Evangelicals??!!
Especially coming off the first March for Life since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, thanks to PDJT’s three Justices no less, this is particularly infuriating.
Moreover, how can Graham and Robert Jeffress give Judas Pence the time of day??!!
This horrible betrayal of Christianity’s greatest hero and defender of innocent unborn life certainly makes Evangelicals look like hypocritical frauds!!! Shame on all of these “faith” leaders for turning their backs on President Trump!!1
Fake headline intended to mislead.
He’s not really a preacher. He always takes an opportunity to testify about salvation, but we all should be doing that. His father was, but FG heads up a charitable organization.
It’s like when people assumed that perv goofball Falwell, Jr., was a preacher like his dad. He is a lawyer.
You’re taking the bait.
