The View host Joy Behar has been mocked for suggesting that Alec Baldwin was charged with manslaughter because he's a famous liberal - and wrongly claiming the DA is a Republican.
Behar said Mary Carmack-Altwies is a 'big Republican' and suggested the prosecutor was politically motivated because Baldwin 'is a target for Republicans. They cannot stand him.'
But Carmack-Altwies is, in fact, a Democrat who assumed office in 2021. The DA, who lives in Sante Fe with her wife and two children, stated Thursday she was charging Baldwin because 'he didn't check [the loaded gun], he didn't do what he was supposed to do to make sure he was safe or make sure anyone else was safe.'

The DA will appear ‘tough’, but will likely assign a junior prosecutor to the case, who has done maybe one or two voluntary manslaughter cases in their life. Baldwin, with a fancy-pants lawyer can beat the charge. The armorer, also up for the same charge, won’t be able to afford a good lawyer, and probably loses her case.

THree people were charged, one turned states evidence and entered a plea of improper use of a firearm,
One other was also charged with manslaughter, one of the set directors .
Live rounds and blank rounds were mixed together and no one checked after the firearm reload.
Is the view that popular or a tv show ?
It still bugs me but why would any producer use a real firearm capable of chambering a live round on a movie set.? Prop guns with plugged barrels and shortened cylinder chambers exist for a reason.
And with every episode watched it creeps a little lower.
Clearly, libs think in terms that justice in this country is not blind. They certainly think the right has to be treated more harshly than their comrades. Look at top secret documents and who abuses them and who they blame more and who gets a pass.
