” so that even when there is no sun or wind energy supply won’t be interrupted.”

OR we could have clean and reliable power provided by gas, coal, and nuclear plants... But no... Now we will all be forced to buy electric cars we don’t want AND keep them plugged in to the grid to store power that we would otherwise need to drive said EVs.

Who would willingly leave their car attached to this system once it is charged?

Isn’t saying that batteries could be key to energy storage kind of obvious? Otherwise, how else would energy be stored, and what other purposes do batteries serve?

FACT: If you charged all the batteries on Earth and ran the world on them, the power would last for eleven seconds.

MORAL: “Renewables” cannot come close to the energy density of “fossil” fuels.

That should increase the life of your electric car battery! Use it to feed power back and forth to the grid.

LOL

If all these people were sincere about CO2 and climate they would be simultaneously pushing for research on carbon trapping etc. They won't, however, because what they want is to change everyone else’s way of life.

Government: “The grid is down because of wildfires. All EV homeowners are ordered to plug their EVs into the grid to maintain emergency power.”

Homeowner: “OK, I plugged my EV into the grid, but now the battery is depleted.”

Government: “The wildfires are spreading. All homeowners are ordered to evacuate the area.”

Homeowner” “BUT I JUST DRAINED MY EV BATTERY KEEPING THE GRID ALIVE!”

How the hell do they think they will make enough electricity to supply every car on the road...and stations...and the rest of the grid......and your electric stove.

“New research published Tuesday found that electric car batteries could help boost short-term grid storage in times of increased demand or lower supply, either by setting up “vehicle-to-grid” or “second use” schemes.”

Okay, then if I’m going to provide power back into the public grid for everyone to use, and everyone else is doing it also, will the power companies replace the power they take/use from me as I will have to then buy it twice while only getting the small amount of power in comparison I would normally have used for myself. This is why they call it a scheme. I already paid for the power to the grid that they can’t supply due to their incapacity so they want it back, free of charge, to apply to everyone at which case they would have to take back more than they supplied for me to purchase to cover their shortage.

So when you plug them in to charge, they might actually be discharging into the grid. Leaving you stranded.

So, by deactivating coal, gas and nuclear to the point that the grid is unstable and unsustainable at 1st world levels, they want you to use your car, not to drive, but to prop up their failing grid? Brilliant!!

“injecting electricity into the grid during times of scarcity”

Ahahahaha. So you plug your car in at night, trying to charge it, but if the grid is running low, it will just drain your car instead :D

So, on a calm dark cold night you discharge your car battery to keep warm. Then in the morning, when you need to drive to work…

They could use those car batteries to power big electric fans to blow air onto the wind turbines to produce power which could be used by the grid to power the car batteries (I apologize in advance for the left wing green new deal progressive circular logic).
