Uh... “Little Egypt” is (more or less) everything south of I-70 in IL.

Sadly, Cairo’s only significance to the area @ present is notoriety, and the Governor is blowing a huge wad of $$ on it to create a port when the southern portion of “Little Egypt” is already well served by Paducah and the SEMO Port Authority.

It was turn them in or register in CT, IIRC. If I recall, it was revealed that they were forced to admit that only 10-15% were actually registered in CT, and the various 2a groups and even some anti-2a groups admit even the 10% number is very high.

I’m not completely surprised, it’s home to affluent liberal communities such as Highland Park and Deerfield, and like all the collar counties it too has been flooded by the diaspora of Chicagoans fleeing the City That (no longer) Works.
