Fentanyl: The horrendous killer of our time

Anyone who takes even a cursory look at the news – regardless the source – has to be aware of fentanyl – the latest of the killer drugs assaulting our society. It wasn't too long ago that virtually no one had ever heard of it. Now, it seems to be everywhere, and from what we are told, it is a killer of staggering proportions.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is said to be 50 times more potent than heroin. While the drug is found in all states, California is particularly hard hit, and the source, it appears, is movement of the drug across the border from Mexico, with Interstate 5 being a main trafficking route.

Authorities believe the original source of the drug is China, and there seems to be no limit to the quantity that ends up in the U.S. There is no information available as to whether our government has had any contact with China about this movement of the drug.

In a recent report from California Gov. Gavin Newsom, law enforcement, just in California this year, seized 28,765 pounds of the drug. According to Newsom, that's enough to kill the entire of population of North America, TWICE!

> Yet Biden and Dems leave the border wide open. Killers. <

The current Democrat talking point is that Republicans are blocking all border control reform. That’s ludicrous nonsense. No. It’s better described as being evil. But 50% of the nation will believe it.

There are dark times ahead.

Every pound of Chinese fen that is seized should be air-dropped back on the Chinese port that it came from. The exports would stop in a week.

What makes this drug so dangerous is that most people don't even know they are taking it.

Drug dealers are lacing their cocaine, heroin and any pill bought on the street with fentanyl. This allows them to stretch out their drug supplies further because fentanyl is cheap and really packs a punch. Below is what a fatal dose of fentanyl looks like next to a penny.

Anybody who buys drugs on the street, trusting that the drug dealers will not accidentally (or even purposely) lace their product with a fatal dose are playing Russian roulette with their lives.

Tell me where all the dead people are or convince me that they are doing a good enough job of intercepting it that what gets through isn’t enough to kill as many as they say could be killed.

Glad you posted about carfentanil with the comparison. There’s still people who aren’t aware of how deadly it is.

China makes the stuff then the Mexican cartels move it into our country. So they are all benefiting for working together. The dims are encouraging the border crossers to keep coming in, so by their actions, the dims are working together with China and the cartels.

No way to stop it without extreme violence. Enough fentanyl to wipe out a city can fit in a balloon stuck up one person’s arse.

So, it is a drug willingly ingested by druggies?
The media is trying to make it sound like it is being forced on people.

You mean the fentanyl?

Damned if I know. I’m not a druggie. Never have been. I innocently found out in the last decade, that druggies toss their shoes over phone and power lines to signal their selling places.
