But Justin Trudeau’s Canada is making progress towards becoming China’s North American twin. Compliance with the ideological diktats of the intelligentsia is apparently a requirement in order to keep your job these days.
Yesterday Jordan Peterson revealed and the College of Ontario Psychologists acknowledged that he has been “sentenced” to mandatory retraining in order to retain his license to practice clinical psychology in Canada.
I am to take a course of such training (with reports documenting my "progress" or face an in-person tribunal and suspension of my right to operate as a licensed clinical psychologist.

Just in case you didn’t know, Pierre Poilievre is the leader of the opposition Conservative Party in Canada, meaning that Jordan Peterson is literally being punished for criticizing the current Prime Minister and retweeting the statement of his political opponent–and a mainstream one at that.
The claim is that Jordan Peterson’s social media statements caused some unspecified “harm” to patients through his social media statements. This is the kind of “harm” and “trauma” we hear of all the time these days: people claiming to be traumatized by the existence of opinions to which they do not agree. Disagreement or having unapproved opinions is now a form of “stochastic terrorism,” a nonsense term used to smear ideological opponents.

One would think that an organization that regulates clinical psychologists would focus on the impact such psychologists have on their patients. But rather than focusing on that, the organization has chosen to accept the word of random people who claim to have been harmed by Peterson having opinions that differ from theirs.
And even though many of them falsely claimed that they were or had been clients of mine and were allowed by @CPOntario to have their complaints investigated despite this falsehood

A noose has been put around the necks of any member of a profession class who deviates from the accepted Narrative, which means that professional organizations have become economic and social status shock troops for the Left. Even if Canada were legally friendlier to free speech (and it is not, with Human Rights Commissions holding way too much power over the acceptable speech of people in the country), anybody in the professional class is under threat of losing their livelihoods should they step out of line.
The boundaries of acceptable speech are becoming narrower and narrower (as has happened in California with doctors, who are now legally liable if they deviate from the accepted COVID Narrative).

Peterson is utterly correct: if any licensed professional can lose his right to practice if they deviate from the Left ideology a widespread Lysenkoism is the inevitable result. All “expert” advice and knowledge is essentially regulated by ideological enforcers whose sole concern is maintaining a political unanimity, not ensuring the best outcome for the clients.

The state of California has enshrined this sort of nonsense into law, making Equity, Diverszity and Inclusion a law written criteria for how healthcare must be practoced and if you do not sign off on accepting that criteria - a promise you will follow that criteria in how you perform your work - you can be denied your health care professional cerification/recertification. Because of this law medical schools, in or out of the state of California, seeking to qualify students for healthcare work in California MUST include “Equity, Diversity and Inclusion” lessons in their medical school criteria or else graduation from that school will not pass muster for graduation intent pn prcticing in California. That means California’s law on the matter reaches beyond the state of California.
A few years ago, I drove into Alberta on vacation. I have done this before. What most surprised me is what the man at the border control said this time. I had Texas license plates on my car. He said, “You are from Texas and where are your guns?” I most politely said, “Most in Texas but my carry weapon is in Montana with an FFL that for a minimum charge took possession of it until my return to Montana. It was an odd day. I sold my weapon to the FFl for 20 dollars. He sold it back to me for 20 dollars to make it all legal. I think he made about 30 dollars to do the paperwork. He had done this often. He was an FFL close to the border.

I see this phrase here constantly. What does it mean? The progressive communists are doing anything they please. The cancel culture will completely destroy historic western culture in a few years. That might have been true decades ago but given the fact that millions of them recently complied with an abusive government that destroyed their businesses, forced them into being injected with a toxin and forced them to wear a muzzle under penalty of fines and being fired from their jobs, so I'd say you're wrong. Then, to top off the whole sh*t-filled cake the same filthbags who did all that stole a presidential election and the same folks who acquiesced to the covid lockdown travesty rolled over again, flipped on their wide screens and smartphones and, once again, just whistled past the graveyard.
And recently the filthbags stole the Senate and some governorships, brazenly and confidently, and all those "freedom loving" Americans watched it all go down as meekly and as quietly as Xanax-popping zombies.
I am not religious but the current globo homo elites are tempting Lady Nemesis. The US in particular is facing a event with China that will shake the country to the core and determine whether the US survives or becomes a subject state of China. At the very least a great deal of the woke US military will die paying the price for the staggering ignorance and arrogance of their leaders. Bugs, gas and nukes will likely bring reality home to many many dopey Americans as well. Then we will see.
