The head of NASA has said that China could claim the moon as its own territory if beats the US in the race to the lunar surface.
In an interview with Politico, published Sunday, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said Chinese military expansion in the South China Sea was an indicator of what might happen on the moon.
Nelson said: "It is a fact: we're in a space race. And it is true that we better watch out that they don't get to a place on the moon under the guise of scientific research. And it is not beyond the realm of possibility that they say, 'Keep out, we're here, this is our territory.'
"If you doubt that, look at what they did with the Spratly Islands."

Imagine being the lone Chinese soldier posted on the moon. It would be like Kevin Costner in Dances With Wolves at the soldier fort, except the nearest Indians are 250.000 miles away...lol
Only a base to build and launch weapons....
The press conference of the Apollo 11 crew is odd to say the least. They all seem subdued and not in a stoic or humble way, but in a manner that they are reading from a script. Compare that to interviews of athletes after winning their league championship.
Thought the moon was already Chinese. You look at it and after a bit you want to look at it again ...
Wonder if the Chinese will start charging us to see the moon? Wonder how they turn it off if we don’t pay ...
This thread is filled with stupidity.
The Apollo 11 crew actually looked like prisoners who had been interrogated and tortured.
Some of us know why:

So what— the “treaty” means nothing to every part of the current Space consortium countries. Force Majeure supersedes and has superseded in the past— the actions of rogue nations. China is a declared rogue nation— whom our merchant class is attached to like ticks- which changes nothing when it comes to defense of the US and Presidential command authority. See: LBJ just as one example, and all the treaties ignored in re: Soviets.
Time to wash the $$$$.
Yeah, sure.
No one can hear a Chinese scream in space.
China joined the treaty in 1983.
They viewed the original ratification of the treaty in 1967 by the Republic of China as illegal. But in 1983/1984 they joined the treaty via accession.

But no one could hear the call to prayer in the moon's atmosphere!
Nope, the Russians landed remote controlled rovers on the moon. Astronaut-wise, yes.
Treaty already exists that no one country can claim the moon or its resources. Obviously what you can set up there is your countrys, but claiming huge swaths, nope.
Here's how footprints into moisture-less sand or dust look:
So what missing cohesive element do you suppose held Neil Armstrong's claimed first footprint on the moon together so nicely? And why has the media not bothered to ask this question in the last 50 years?
And whose bright idea was it to try to fool the Dutch by having the US Ambassador to the Netherlands and the Apollo 11-astronots gift them an earth-bound piece of petrified tree while calling it a moon rock? (They tested it.) This was well beyond a "Naughty, naughty!"
Also, see my post here.
The Deep State and its Mockingbird media have been hoaxing us for many a decade if not century!
They may have to accept it as part of the UN, besides theres not much there for them to gain at this point. Lots to lose down here from a variety of sanctions and expulsion from the UN. Loss of world power here for a claim they cant back up isnt a great trade off and even commies can see that.
So the ChiComs will turn the Moon into the Death Star?
What? Ralph Kramden’s wife Alice an American still holds the record for visits to the moon!
