The criminology student accused of slaying four University of Idaho students had stalked his alleged victims before the November murders and wore gloves in a supermarket weeks afterwards, according to a new report.
Cellphone data shows that Bryan Kohberger, 28, was often in the same location as the three sorority sisters and one of their boyfriends before he allegedly slashed them to death as they apparently slept at an off campus house, a source close to one of the case’s investigators told The Daily Mail.
Kohberger also seemed to be careful about not leaving fingerprints in public even as he fled to his native state of Pennsylvania in recent days, the anonymous source told the outlet Sunday.
“He’s not stupid and has been very careful,” said the source, who claimed to be “good friends” with one of the cops who had surveilled the murder suspect in the days before his arrest.
“He followed him into a Giant [Pennsylvania grocery store chain] and wore gloves the entire time,” the source reportedly said of his investigator pal.
“Not sure if they ever interacted – but his cell phone pings followed their every move for weeks,” the source reportedly said of Kohberger’s alleged stalking.

Kohberger had continued to serve as a teacher’s assistant at the university before driving his white Hyundai Elantra across the country in the days before Christmas with suspicious cops hot on his trail.
His father — who is not said to be a suspect — had flown to Idaho to make the 2,500 mile drive with his son after Kohberger completed his first semester of the PhD program at the university, the suspect’s lawyer said.

Idaho cancelled a mid-December execution due to being unable to procure the execution drugs. Yet nearly every week we hear about enough Fentanyl being seized to kill 100’s of thousands of people.
“hand injuries” sustained during the assault is very probable, but it is Idaho in winter.
Are you referring to the video I posted #35 in this thread? Dude says he's a friend of an investigator. He's revealing details now because one of the parents mentioned some details.
Christmas break probably isn’t that long. He may have flown out there to get some quality time with his son; also if they switched drivers every 2 hours or so, they’d get home faster.
On the other hand, why not just fly him home? A round trip isn’t usually much more than one-way.
Mr Smart PhD student has to ‘disappear’ the car, maybe?
Why does everyone assume this guy did it? I think he’s innocent.
On voter records, I see only two of the victim’s names registered. Both were registered as unaffiliated, which seems to be very common for people their age today.
There is a good chance he could be innocent.
Most of the evidence against him is circumstantial. Short of getting a confession or some real non speculative evidence which ties him to the scene ,this is not an easy case to prove to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt .
The cogent question is will the accused have an alibi?
You KNOW the Parents either KNEW what he did or SUSPECTED what he did!
They were RIGHT!
That’s WHO and WHAT he is.
I will bet money that he wrote down his FEELINGS he was going thru WHILE he was killing after he killed them, since that was what he wanted to know from his REDDIT account.
Isn’t there a TRACKING DEVICE you can put on the underside of a car?? You can’t afford to think you would be able to follow him across country.
Possibly this was his first killing, serial killers learn from each killing and improve their modus operandi which makes them harder to catch. This killing was very sloppy, too close to home, carried his cell phone, used his personal vehicle, used a knife vice bludgeon or strangulation leading to cuts and leaving DNA. Even Gunther Toody (Car 54 Where are You) could have caught him.
Present the evidence in court, not through the news media.
Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, not on the Internet.
Yes- Thank you for chiming in as I had read a number of threads and the details began to run together, which clouded my memory enough that I didn’t have the source in mind when I posted. (See lazy journalism 101- excuses for dummies).
Based on the majority of the comments under the video, which were fingering the killer as the author (of the video) I formulated my commentary here in the thread, based largely on the group’s strong consensus. Gotta’ love those autists!
The fact that a profile on the killer is constituting itself in real-time is proving to be his Achilles heel, thanks to this monster’s extreme narcissism.
I wish this evil psychopath the very worst of days while in prison and may he receive the Whitey Bulger treatment, sooner rather than later.
Cell phone pings are circumstantial but can establish motive. Don't bet against DNA, you'll lose.
Why does everyone assume this guy did it? I think he’s innocent.

That is my movie plot to get you all to get sucked in.
Just at the end of season 1, some significant doubt will appear . . . and you are left hanging until the Fall and season 2.
That DNA you describe is not what they have. YOu are assuming that the DNA evidence they used to locate him is admissible onto evidence. It is speculative.
It likely cannot be because he has not consented to give a sample to his DNA material for comparison. They need court order to take it. So far none of that has happened.
We also do not know if the accused has an alibi or not.
NO murder weapon has been located either.
Like I said, most of the evidence against him is circumstantial at this point. That might change after extradition to IDAHO. BUt I do not think that the accused is required to give any evidence against himself, including a DNA match sample.
Wonder if it was through 23 and me, or ancentry.Com that they got him?
