The criminology student accused of slaying four University of Idaho students had stalked his alleged victims before the November murders and wore gloves in a supermarket weeks afterwards, according to a new report.
Cellphone data shows that Bryan Kohberger, 28, was often in the same location as the three sorority sisters and one of their boyfriends before he allegedly slashed them to death as they apparently slept at an off campus house, a source close to one of the case’s investigators told The Daily Mail.
Kohberger also seemed to be careful about not leaving fingerprints in public even as he fled to his native state of Pennsylvania in recent days, the anonymous source told the outlet Sunday.
“He’s not stupid and has been very careful,” said the source, who claimed to be “good friends” with one of the cops who had surveilled the murder suspect in the days before his arrest.
“He followed him into a Giant [Pennsylvania grocery store chain] and wore gloves the entire time,” the source reportedly said of his investigator pal.
“Not sure if they ever interacted – but his cell phone pings followed their every move for weeks,” the source reportedly said of Kohberger’s alleged stalking.
***** SNIP *****
Kohberger had continued to serve as a teacher’s assistant at the university before driving his white Hyundai Elantra across the country in the days before Christmas with suspicious cops hot on his trail.
His father — who is not said to be a suspect — had flown to Idaho to make the 2,500 mile drive with his son after Kohberger completed his first semester of the PhD program at the university, the suspect’s lawyer said.

It would come out soon enough anyway.
If his DNA was on or in a victim, then that would be more convincing than just anywhere in the supposed party house.
AH! I didn’t bother to read the comments.
You peaked my curiosity.
Now I’m siding with the observation that the video is by the killer.
While reading the comments I decided to see what other videos this person had posted.
Creepy.
There’s a video of a doll in white face and panda eyes.
This is not normal
Very true. The location of the DNA makes the difference, I guess.
He’s a diabolical nutcase if he planned this out for years, and it looks like he did right now.
So do I. In that case, the husband was killed, but the wife survived. I seem to remember the police saying there was no connection between the two cases, but I don't know why... Maybe this suspect wasn't in the area at that time.
I think this is the story: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9940947/Oregon-wife-stabbed-19-times-intruder-killed-husband.html

Neighbors share their impressions of the suspect:

So incredibly sad .
I mb am deeply disappointed that
‘God ‘ allows such things to happen .
Frankly , I don’t care what ‘ the plan’s is . It’s F-ed up....
For a capital offense, I doubt very much that a scrounged DNA sample would be admissible as evidence. But it might help in getting a court ordered DNA sample from the accused.
This has all yet to play out, but this will not be an open and shut case for the prosecution just yet.
His vehicle would likely be a trove of his DNA, plus his living quarters.
True, but they need a DNA sample directly from him so it can be admissible as evidence , on the record.I doubt he will consent to it.
They cannot use scrounged DNA evidence to prove he was present at the crime scene , because it is not admissible.
They can use the scrounged DNA to get a court order forcing him to give a DNA sample, but in a capital offense such as this the courts are reluctant to require an accused to give evidence against themselves, that violates constitutional rights, and substitutes a DNA test for the duty of the court to decide guilt or innocence.
We have a ways to go yet to see how this all will play out in Idaho.
it does seem just too “pat” doesn’t it......
They already have court orders. They now have his DNA from his apartment, his car, toothbrush, combs, clothes, etc. etc.all now processed as evidence blessed by court order. If this DIRECT DNA matches anything at the crime scene he is done. No alibi will save him.
I had to read it twice to understand, but it’s a quote, so if the person being quoted said it that way, it’s not the writer’s fault.
“Would this monster, at age 28, never have committed murder before killing four people on the same night.?”
I’m sure the police & FBI are wondering the same thing
You get a search warrant for DNA.
No it seems like he thought he was too smart for police, not “pat” at all.
Too late for that. He has been arrested and does not have to be subject to any warrant. His parents though, thats another matter.
Oh you are wrong. They certainly can get a warrant for blood or fingerprints from someone who is arrested.
Not without a court hearing.
