RIP
SHOULDVE STILL BEEN Pope.
“John Paul the Great now greets newly-arrived Benedict the Good.”
That is two very broad assumptions there...
I am of the opinion he is the last Pope.
“Now comes the punishment”
When you die you’ll suffer eternal damnation.
Saw a report that he was the first Pope in 600 years to make a live exit from being Pope.
Well Said!
He gets to go HOME, and we’re stuck here.
We can’t know what he was faced with.
It could have been a horrible threat toward a large group of people.
We can know only our own call and our successes and failures within that call.
RIP, Pope Benedict.
Pray for us who remain in the struggle.
Amen
RIP to the REAL Pope.
+1.
But the Lavender Mafia, and the Communists, were likely involved too.
“I liked it when Pope Benedict would call out Islam for the violent religion it is.”
Then You Missed the point of that speech.
5 Enduring Lessons from Pope Benedict XVI

27:28 Mark
BTW The whole video is Well Worth the time.
Ask yourself a small question. It’s (say) Dec 31 2032 will Anyone remember or pay attention to either Pelé or Barbara Walters? Their families, bu that’s about it. 100 years from today people will still be reading/studying Benedict XVI’s life and writings. Just because someone is popular today does not mean people will remember them in the future.
You seem nice....
Thank you for that link, good show. Barron here returns to his conservative roots in talking about Ratzinger.
But still less presumptuous than protestants going around telling everyone that they're "saved" while they're STILL alive. Good thing they know God's plans in advance!
However we do know what his cross was. His cross was to be the shepherd of the church, to carry on the task that Jesus gave to Peter. And we know by scripture what price was expected from the shepherd of this flock. A horrible threat against a large group of people doesn't excuse him from this task.
We just passed the feast of Stephen and rightly celebrate that he passed the test. We also see that not everyone does. So no we can look to what others do and don't do and use that as a lesson to ourselves.
May his Memory be Eternal!!!!
I was being sarcastic and should have noted that I was being sarcastic.
That’s good to read.
