Oooo, two parties. That sounds like fun.
I’m going to a party tomorrow night to ring in the new year with old friends. I’ll be able to drive the 10 miles home with no problems because I don’t drink. LOL
I’m taking a tray of my home-made pimento cheese sandwiches to add to the other finger foods people will take. The hostess doesn’t normally like pimento cheese but she likes mine and insists I take them every year. That makes it easy since I don’t have to think about what to take each year. :-)
Thanks, unique.

That sounds good! 😋 My mom used to make really good pimento cheese.
I don’t drink much these days, but I’ll have a cocktail or two and do the Uber thing to play it safe. Plus, it’s Amateur Night - there may be drunks on the road, but I hope not.
Have a great time and thank you for all you do here! Luvie too!
Don’t we all wish we had the stamina we had “back then”. LOL! Sounds like you had a very cool life there in Raleigh. Lots of very cool memories!
It is that time of the "year". Looking forward to it, Publius.
Oops....always an accident as I am always so far behind.
Thanks, unique, for the woohoo!!
lightman.....#51!!
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...your new phone really takes great pictures. Gizmo sure enjoys his daily adventures. You’d think he knew every smell and place to roll there is, but he seems to REALLY enjoy each trip.
You boys have a great Saturday.
Thanks, luvie, for spinning tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
A little sweet pickle relish is why people like my pimento cheese. I always bring an empty tray home. Works for me! It’s easy to make and they like it. :-)
I’ve tasted a few drinks but just never liked the taste. It works out well because I don’t have to worry about getting busted. LOL I do have to keep an eye out for drunks on the road but most seem to party close to home on New Years Eve and aren’t on the highway between the town where the party will be and here.
Here’s to a good time for both of us tomorrow night.
Thanks, unique, for the woohoo!!
Allegra.....#100!!
Wise decision not to drive considering where and when you will be out.
Have a wonderful time at the parties.
I’d say we all wish we had the stamina of our younger years once we hit the Golden Years. I certainly couldn’t keep the pace now that I kept back then, and I was in my 30s and early 40s at the time.
It took a long time to settle into life here when I moved back to take care of Mom. Culture shock hit hard. It wasn’t a slowdown. It was a screeching halt.
But now I couldn’t begin to think about moving back to Raleigh, or any other city, after living on the farm for so many years. It’s a little piece of heaven.
Well, except for when Dusty spreads poo on the fields. LOL!!
And to you as well, have a wonderful time with your friends. So glad for you, and all of them, that the party was postponed for better weather.
And now I am off to bed...I have to go into the office in the morning. I emailed the front desk yesterday and she said my checks are there. So I will be able to do both the 12/16 and 12/23 checks.
Rest well when you get there.
Yeah, everyone but Dusty could do without the poo on the fields. And cotton in the fields.
I guess I’d better go. I got caught up in a show and didn’t think about the time. Now I’m soooo sleepy. See ya. I’m guessing not tomorrow though. Enjoy the party and have a Great New Year!
You’re very welcome. Thank YOU for all you do for us AND for them!
I’m glad she postponed it, too, though it did make for a boring Christmas night. The weather will be much better tomorrow night - warmer and the rain will be out of here long before the party begins. And the people who live out of town will be able to be here.
I’m glad you’re going to the office tomorrow. If you had to wait until Sunday, it could be dangerous from what I’ve read about your weather forecast. Still bad enough now with everything so icy. Be careful!
Sleep well. See ya late tomorrow night.
Yes, I can do without cotton too! LOL I hope to never look out the windows and see that in the fields again!
You must have had a nap today since you stayed up so late. I didn’t realize what time it is either. Guess I need to start on the before-bed routine so I can hit the sack soon.
Catch ya tomorrow night. I won’t be out all that much after midnight.
Right now, it’s in the 50’s and wet. I hope it doesn’t freeze overnight.
PS, you and i have the same kind of shed! LOL.
Hoo Ray!
