I loved the years I lived in Raleigh and being involved in the music scene. There were a lot of fun local bands and some of the clubs had national and international bands. The large club where I met Al and Peter was the one I worked at the longest. Other smaller clubs, I worked at part-time on and off over the years. If I wasn’t working, I was at one club or another on the dance floor. Heck, I danced while I worked. I was a dancin’ fool back in those days. LOL If I just had half the stamina now that I had back then .....
The best part was being in a position to meet the musicians as just a friend - - someone they knew would be at the club they could sit down and have normal conversations with. Anything “else”, I left to the groupies. I wanted no part of that!
