A conservative commentator has warned electric vehicle drivers in Los Angeles that charging stations for their $60,000 cars are littered with homeless encampments.

Alexandra Datig shared a video of her driving in downtown LA on Wednesday, with one of the local Blink EV charging stations surrounded by trash and tents.

'When you live in Los Angeles, it's better to have a charging station at home for that $60,000 EV,' Datig wrote on Twitter.

At least with gas stations you can choose which neighborhood to stop at.

Then, you're only there for 5 min. and can employ your own security.

The photos of homeless people always reveal how much stealing they do, anything in yards or on construction sites is there for the taking.

Perhaps Los Angeles should outlaw tents.

Pay a $50 fine on the spot to the officer for his personal enrichment or the tent gets confiscated.

Tent theft could be made legal. Let the homeless fight over tents.

Charging stations should be on private property where people spend some time, such as at offices, grocery stores and restaurants.

“At least with gas stations you can choose which neighborhood to stop at.”

85% of charging is done at home.

OK by me - so long is it does not take up more prime spaces near the door of the business. There’s a ‘Big Box’ mall near me where the Tesla station is in a location that never had cars parked there - due to distance from the businesses.

Proposition 47A

Theft of private property left on public sidewalks for over 23 hours in the last 24 shall not be subject to prosecution.

Let the homeless find out how retail store owners feel.

What’s the output of these chargers? Have the homeless figured out a use for them?

And the other 15% will get you killed.

I still have my 12-year-old Chevy HHR with 68,000 miles.
It runs great, has never been to repair shop, and BEST PART IS I DO NOT NEED EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT BATTERY needed by EV cars after so many years and miles.
