“The photos of homeless people always reveal how much stealing they do,”
Very true. There is one street filled with homeless tents and RVS in the next town over. There are massive piles of garbage, stolen shopping carts (yes liberals that is thievery) propane tanks, BBQs, bikes, buckets, yard art, hoses, and a whole host of other items usually left in yards.
Are citizens supposed to plug in their Tesla and leave it there for 30-60 minutes? Good luck with that!!
“At least with gas stations you can choose which neighborhood to stop at. Then, you’re only there for 5 min. and can employ your own security.”
Heck, if I’m in the back country of Idaho, I still would not want to waiting out there, alone, for 30 minutes to 2 hours, and I doubt others are into that either.
I think the BOTTOM LINE is that there won’t be many charging stations, as people who don’t have home access to charge their car will not buy them, and those that do, will not use them for trips (after learning what that entails, either the easy way, or the hard way).
I live way out in the country as well.
The only electric vehicles I expect to see out here are some poor folks that get stuck in the winter on the country roads.
The electric vehicle customers taking long trips will be like little kids and hot stoves—the best way to learn is to get burned.
EV won't work for me. Can't spend hours charging on the road on long trips. My car has 275,000 miles and EV would have needed a new battery long ago.
It’ll go something like this;
Hi honey, I’m going to be a little late, I have to wait in line and charge up. I’d guess it’ll take me 3+ hours. The only problem is there is a guy screaming at a telephone pole in the parking lot, and another one snapping and barking like a dog.
This is an example of Globalist Agenda items crashing into each other. The Globalists DEMAND all electric cars, and thus charging stations, while the Globalists DEMAND that a large share of the population be homeless (and criminal), thereby having the homeless populating the charging stations.
Technically, they should pick one or the other, either rampant homelessness and crime, or electric cars. But obviously they’ll take go with both.
By the way, Russia doesn’t permit this crap (just say’in).
But USE LESS ELECTRICITY at home. The GRID, THE GRID. THE GRID!
“Tent theft could be made legal. Let the homeless fight over tents.”
I was in NYC not too long ago - plenty of homeless, but ZERO tents (same as LA was, 30 years ago). Seems New York STILL doesn’t tolerate the tents, at least.
“What’s the output of these chargers? Have the homeless figured out a use for them?”
One very popular use is pulling the copper out of them, and then selling it.
Batteries wear out by just age. Car batteries will die after 7-8 years even when barely used. I wonder how many years EV batteries will last by small use like 5000 miles/year which what I put on the car.
Where should one go at the end of Electric Avenue?
How about the Electric Church? Great album by the underrated but fantastic Buddy Miles Express.
Album title was suggested by his close friend Jimi Hendrix.

Not be confused with a nearby street walked by Elvis:
Well, I found a new place to dwell
Well, it’s down at the end of Lonely Street
At Heartbreak Hotel.
Percentage of vehicle owners who say they don’t have EV charging access at home
Survey of 2,200 U.S. adults, 1,941 of whom own vehicles, conducted between March 3-6, 2022
Total
All vehicle owners 78%
Potential electric vehicle buyers are told not to worry so much about access to public charging stations because most people will charge their EVs at home.
But many people say they don’t have EV charging available at home.
What they found: Only 11% of adults report that charging access is always available at home.
The bottom line: If you don’t have a garage or a dedicated parking spot, your access to charging is likely limited, which could potentially stunt growth of the EV industry.
You’re excluding a certain part of the population just because of the way they park.
Love Musk, but he and all the other EV manufacturers (except Toyota) do not acknowledge the deficiencies of their product. This example is but one of 10 or 15.
Unless....they’ve got a new power source on the horizon.
EVs have their place, but they will never be the primary mode of transportation.
“ You’re excluding a certain part of the population just because of the way they park”
This is likely to keep me up at night, worrying.
You need to look at the bright side. They don’t have plastic bags and straws to worry about anymore.
“At least with gas stations you can choose which neighborhood to stop at.”
85% of charging is done at home.
Not for long. CA has banned developers building parking in new apartment buildings. Other loony left state will follow. Where are all those people going to park and charge their vehicles? At the public chargers.
“ You’re excluding a certain part of the population just because of the way they park”
This is likely to keep me up at night, worrying.
It will, when they demand “fairness” and “equity” from you.
