Travelers relying on Southwest Airlines to get them home were mostly still stranded Thursday morning, barely 24-hours after Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg publicly upbraided the carrier and warned it to do better – or else.
AP reports exhausted Southwest passengers were looking for alternative carriers or even renting cars to get them on their way as the airline’s CEO said it could be next week before the flight fiasco is over.
By late Wednesday afternoon on the East Coast some 90 percent of all canceled flights in the U.S. were on Southwest, according to the FlightAware tracking service. Conditions had barely improved 12 hours later.

Southwest’s flights are organized point to point to give people cheaper pricing. Does not use the HUBs the feds try to force them into doing so they can control an airline through threats.
Southwest is a bus line of the air, and the weather is what did this in— something they cannot control, NOR can the fedgov and morons like mayor butt gig who is STILL vacation with the “other” .
When the smaller non-hub airports shut down for winter storm, that’s when the system started breaking down. There is also an added factor of butt gig insisting pilots— experienced pilots MUST be retired by 65, not 67 as most unions do. Serious staffing shortages in all airlines caused by liberal a@@holes getting in to the hiring practices of airlines— diversity, age restrictions and a whole lot else they’ve no business dictating. Period.
Wow, can you imagine Pete could actually be President of the USA right now if the Legacy News Media had it’s way.

What’s really going on is that thousands of pilots are failing their physicals because of myocarditis and arrhythmia, and to add insult to injury they cannot collect disability because they submitted to an EAU experimental vaccine.
