Lindsey Graham Admits Spending Bill Is 'Train Wreck' but Will Vote for It “THIS IS THE LAST TIME.”
MSN / Newsweek ^ | 12/23/2002 | Nick Reynolds

Dubbed "the ugliest omnibus bill ever" by the conservative Wall Street Journal editorial board Wednesday, the massive spending bill includes tens of billions of dollars in new aid to Ukraine along with bipartisan policy changes on Medicaid, new disaster relief funding, and investments in programs addressing child care, nutrition assistance and affordable housing.

However, the bill also includes numerous concessions to the Democratic side to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars.

For the next several days at least, Democrats will still control both chambers, leaving little incentive for Republicans to play along.

Graham—like several of his other colleagues—appears to be calling McCarthy's bluff.

Ahead of the Wednesday vote, Graham told Axios reporter Alayna Treene that while he planned to vote for the omnibus bill, it would be "the last time" he does.

"I told all our guys that this is the LAST TIME we're gonna vote for a train wreck,"

He knew it was a terrible bill, but he voted for it anyway? What would it take for him not to vote for a bill?

Yet we’re supposed to believe he won’t do it again? I have no such faith in him. He talks like he’s conservative on Hannity’s show, but he doesn’t vote like it.

Lindsey has got nothing else to do. Unless the people of SC fire him, he is not ever retiring

The choice was this or shutting the government down...and giving all those government workers their back pay after their shutdown vacation. There just is no benefit to shutting the government down...it just creates a worse mess.

There's no point if they're just going to pass the same bill in a month.

But what if the Republicans simply refused to vote for a spending bill, for as long as it takes, until the spending they object to is removed?

Most of the GOP senators obviously don't have the spine to do this — they remember the showdown between Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton, and they're afraid. But it's not the 90s any more.

And if they think the public won't go for a government shutdown, they can add pass a small temporary bill to keep at least parts of government running for a few weeks, as Elon Musk suggested. But don't vote for ridiculous spending, ever; hold out indefinitely — until the ridiculous parts are removed.

Just one more Weinstein...

This is the last time. And if it’s not, expect a strong frown and no Christmas card. Ok, the frown will be more of a sigh and the Christmas card will still be sent but you will NOT be getting a fresh envelope I promise you that!

instead of calling them “political parties”, we should call them “political orgies”: the Grand Ole Orgy (GOO).

.
This is the LAST TIME he’s going to shill for Joe, after that (New Year’s resolution) he’s going to be a Conservative.

The FBi tells Lindsey what to do.

He promised to call Obama as a witness on Spygate (and didn’t).

Said he was going to subpoena all the coup makers in Russia (and didn’t).

Said he was going to have hearings and find out exactly what Joe Biden did and did not know regarding Hunter (he blocked subpoenas of Hunter and his associates for four years).

Can’t be much worse than the mess we are in now.
At least shut it down and show some spine.

The next Congress can take it up day 1 and maybe try to fix some of the messes in this piece of garbage.
