Moscow's proposals for settlement in Ukraine are well known to Kyiv and either Ukraine fulfils them for their own good or the Russian army will decide the issue, TASS agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying.

"Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new lands, are well known to the enemy," the state news agency quoted Lavrov as saying late on Monday.

"The point is simple: Fulfil them for your own good. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army."

There is a big difference between our government and the Russian government.

Our Legislature and Chief Executive rarely play the morality card. They play the Tolerance and Equity card (at least as they are currently configured; subject to change) but the House and Senate haven't really promoted values in ages. Bidet is a Catholic in Name Only and the world knows it.

Putin and the Duma are forever virtue signaling that THEY are defending the full banquet of Traditional Christian Virtue, and the West has lost their way. In reality, the Russian govt are simply cooks at a selective all-you-can-eat Morality Buffet. You won't find any chafing dishes with gay and trans stuff, but there are generous portions of abortion and divorce. And if you slip the Host a few rubles, he'll take you behind the door so you can have some Adultery on demand.

I normally like that you post, but at this you are not right. YouTube video can prove some instances but not a tendency.
The abuse of mind altering stuff, be it booze or drugs is much less a problem in Russia.
Look what happened to Griner and it was a sort of celebrity in Russia, paid 5 times its American contract there.

LOL. The Russians inflict 15 times the casualties on the any compared to their own. The regulars routinely waste NATO specops, sheep dipped or ‘on leave’. I have no idea what one must be smoking to think that light infantry centric NATO has a chance against the real military.
This bubble created by media is long burst. The foreigners who went to Ukraine mostly have run for their lives and now talking.

Russia started out trying to do minimal damage to their fellow slavs. Now after American taxpayers have been fleeced out of hundreds of billions of dollars what has been accomplished is that Ukraine is going to end up back in the stone ages. I guess we should congratulate our neoconned warpiggies. They never cared about Ukrainians to begin with.

Did you look at the videos on You Tube? Did you see how the Russians drink in public?

Did you not see their behavior?

The Russian army is a bunch of drunks as well.

I have seen it in person, and they mostly do it in the civic manner, even compared to Brits and South Koreans.

There is a big difference between our government and the Russian government.

Maybe in name only both spend most of their time chasing money and power as for the democrat party Marxism isn’t a bad thing it’s control from 1829 it’s been their game plan.
Russian government flat out kill in the power arena look how many Putin has got rid or their next leader will more dangerous.

Yeah, that’s why Catherine the Great went to visit “ukrainian” Crimea in the 1700’s touring her realm.

True and well put. The Russian moralists like Putin are moralist propagandists. He knows that stupid Westerners will eat up his shtick. Got plenty of Putin’s “true believers” right here at FR.

Meanwhile, no one since Stalin has sent more young Russian men off to die. Putin’s war is a dumb and stupid war. Same as the USSR’s Afghanistan war. At least Stalin’s USSR fought an existential war in the 1940s.

No, dumi, that was an entirely different kind of transaction.
A look at the borders of Ukraine from 1400s (and before) through 1900s show it was entirely landlocked, much smaller and not in any way included Crimea.
