28K Trump supporters were armed for battle on Jan. 6, panel report says (Barfamundo)

At least 28,000 supporters of President Donald Trump flocked to the nation’s capital on Jan. 6, 2021 — many of them carrying weaponry ranging from firearms to brass knuckles to screwdrivers, the House select committee investigating the events of that day revealed in its final report.

The 814-page document, released late Thursday, draws the previously unreported crowd figure from data from Secret Service magnetometers stationed at Trump’s pre-riot speech on the Ellipse near the White House — though hundreds of the most hardcore rioters skipped the rally and went directly to the Capitol.

The committee of seven Democrats and two anti-Trump Republicans voted Monday to ask the Justice Department to charge the 76-year-old former president with crimes including inciting an insurrection — and the report suggests many attendees were indeed ready for violence.

Secret Service confiscated a haul of weapons from the 28,000 spectators who did pass through the magnetometers: 242 cannisters of pepper spray, 269 knives or blades, 18 brass knuckles, 18 tasers, 6 pieces of body armor, 3 gas masks, 30 batons or blunt instruments, and 17 miscellaneous items like scissors, needles, or screwdrivers,” the report says.

Even at that, most of those categories contain a range of items, like knives can be bayonets, combat knives...or folding pen knives or Leathermans.

And FBI with red hats on.

They and antifa thought their ringleader Pelosi would protect them.

Bur she wouldn’t have.

The FBI Insurrectionists, yeah.

She protected the USCP cop who murdered Ashli Babbitt.

I have a commemorative money clip that has a small nail file, a small scissors, and a small 2" blade.

On my keychain, I have a small eyeglasses tool that has a mini-screwdriver with a flat-head on one end and a Phillips-head on the other end.

That means that I would be charged with carrying four weapons, according to this article.

Released right before Christmas doesn’t really stress the seriousness of the allegations. Secret Service could find those things in a randomly population of that size. 603 “weapons” (with over a third being pepper spray) in about 2% of the crowd.

I still don’t see insurrection or incitement

Ridiculous. Women, in particular, carry pepper spray for self-defense. Pocket knives and gerbers are so common that I’m surprised there weren’t a lot more than 269 out of a crowd of 28K. Scissors in backpacks/purses, needles, etc. are really common among the women I know who knit and stitch to pass the time of day.

As always a bogus report citing “armed for battle” in the headline.

“Hi, I’m starting an insurrection with a gerber.”

Me: King George would clean your clock even in 1776.

I’m sure most people left their knives etc in the car because they were entering an area to hear the president.

The list and headline are absolutely ludicrous.

I have lost one gerber at the airport in the past, because I just wasn’t thinking about it being there.

I also walked in the airport once with my dad, and he had forgotten a couple .22 rounds he had in his pocket. Fortunately, he caught those in time, and dumped them in a garbage can.

We have reached the point in this country where the propaganda doesn’t even need to be particularly dramatic to be effective on its targeted audience.

Of course they were armed, because they expected to be attacked by antifa. Did any of these armed people enter the Capitol? No.

The Dims have adopted excessive hyperbole as their main form of communication.

In re the statement:

At least 28,000 supporters of President Donald Trump flocked to the nation’s capital on Jan. 6, 2021 — many of them carrying weaponry ranging from firearms to brass knuckles to screwdrivers, the House select committee investigating the events of that day revealed in its final report.

Which is then detailed as:

Secret Service confiscated a haul of weapons from the 28,000 spectators who did pass through the magnetometers: 242 cannisters of pepper spray, 269 knives or blades, 18 brass knuckles, 18 tasers, 6 pieces of body armor, 3 gas masks, 30 batons or blunt instruments, and 17 miscellaneous items like scissors, needles, or screwdrivers,” the report says.

The entire haul came to 603 itemes. If you assumed every item was carried by a different person and no person carried any two or more of the items (which is not a resonable assumption), that would imply 603 persons out of the 28,000. And 603 divided by 28,000 comes to just a tad over 2%.

Two percent is not "many" out of 28,000. It is if anything a a "tiny fraction of the crowd".

The name of the Dim's party should be changed to "Hyperbole Central".

She protected the USCP cop who murdered Ashli Babbitt.

Since you mentioned that, that cop or aide to Pelosi was carrying something. A box of some kind. Based on his action of shooting Babbitt, it would seem likely that Pelosi told him to take that box to a safer location and shoot ANY PROTESTOR that got in the way.

So.... what was in the box that was so important to Pelosi to keep hidden from the protestors that she had it removed in that manner ?

And yet the only person shot and killed was a protestor by the congressional SS.

I will pose the same question to you. That congressional SS (or whatever he was) was carrying out a BOX from Pelosi's office. It seems apparent he had been given orders to shoot to kill anyone that got in the way .

What was in the box that Pelosi didn't want anyone to find ?
