Is This Winning? Western leaders can no longer hide the truth about Ukraine.
The American Conservative ^ | December 19, 2022 | George D. O’Neill Jr.

Posted on 12/19/2022 6:35:41 AM PST by NorseViking

Recently, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen carelessly revealed the devastating cost of the Ukraine war.

“It is estimated that more than 20,000 civilians and 100,000 Ukrainian military personnel have died to date,” she said. The comment drew sharp backlash and the E.C. later deleted the comments from video recordings of the address. The censorship was left unexplained and demonstrated the confusion of the purveyors of the approved narrative.

If Von der Leyen’s estimate is true, that is nearly ten times the number of dead Ukrainian soldiers reported by the Ukrainian government. The E.C. president’s remark shows that even the strongest backers of this bloody and unnecessary war can no longer hide the truth: Ukraine is at risk of losing.

The mainstream media and the Biden administration insist ad nauseam that Ukraine is winning against Russia. But the facts on the ground do not fit the narrative and the administration and media know it. The war hawks know their cynical Ukraine policy has not succeeded in driving Russia out of Ukraine. Tragically, the Ukrainians are the ones who suffer the immense cost of this foreign policy failure. Their nation is ruined for the sake and at the instigation of the globalist American empire.

“Trump would have had the two leaders at the bargaining table early on instead of sending vast amounts of capital to one of the most corrupt nations in the world.”
***********************************************

I think we all know this war never would have happened if the election wasn’t stolen from Trump. Actually I’ve always thought that was the primary reason the deep state wanted him gone, they knew Trump was unwilling to go along with their plans.

Every?:) Rephrasing your statement why Ukraine didn’t win the war yet? What do you think happens to the Ukrainian HQs and depots all the way to the Polish border? How do you think Ukrainians suffered 15 times the number of Russian losses?
If you are arguing about the technology invest some effort to familiarize yourself with the subject.

(https://telegra.ph/file/079f19bc98097a4e502e7.jpg)❗️ Conflict in Ukraine strengthens Russia and ruins the West

🇺🇸👤 Former US Colonel Douglas Macgregor stated that all the efforts of Washington and its allies to destroy Russia only backfire and seriously affect their own economy.

☝️ In his opinion, over the entire conflict period, Moscow has only strengthened its financial and economic position, and as a result of the Ukrainian conflict, the Russian armed forces will become “larger, more combat-ready and deadlier.”

💬 “So all of this is and will continue to turn against us because we can no longer try to impose American or US-led Anglo-American hegemony on the rest of the world. The rest of the world doesn’t want that. Frankly, we don’t need it ourselves. It’s ruinous us. So all this (US hegemony) will collapse and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will only accelerate this process.” Macgregor concluded.

“US spending is out of control but quich reality check. Ukraine last year got 100 billion out of a total US spending of 6.6 trillion. Peanuts”
********************************************

The 100 billion is just the beginning, the bill for rebuilding Ukraine has been estimated to be close to a trillion, and guess who will be expected to pay that?

The plan to Destablize and bring Russia under control has been the plan for a long time now. The Ukraine war is the implementation of that plan. Which is why the NWO incessantly repeats the mantra, “unprovoked invasion!”

end this war in 72 hours and stop the killing. What are we afraid of? Russia won’t nukes so they say and Pooties troops surely can’t handle 2 or 3 more fronts? LFG!!

What passion to die for the glory of the NWO! Meanwhile you’re hiding in your basement, crying for your next booster, while your grandkids are turning tranny. I have a better idea. Why don’t we clean our house first? Get rid of commies here, then determine if Russia is worthy of anyone’s attention except Hunter Biden?

Traditionally, on December 19, on St. Nicholas Day, we lit lights on the country's main Christmas tree on Sofia Square. There have been a lot of debates this year - whether to put up a Christmas tree. Even though we are living under warfare, shelling and power outages. But I think we made the right decision. There must be a Christmas tree! There should be a holiday for our children! Despite all the efforts of Russian barbarians to deprive Ukrainians of the joy of Christmas to the new year. This year, of course, the format of celebrations is different. And the Christmas tree is not as big as it always was: 12 meters instead of 31st like last year. And, we called it "the Christmas tree of immortality". I am convinced that the very desire of peace and victory will be made by Ukrainians today - on the holiday of Nicholas the Miracle-worker. And it will surely come to pass! We believe in Ukraine! We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! We, all together, will stand and win!

“what is really interesting is the recent interview of General Z by the Economist.”
**************************************

Yeah that was a very significant interview, the General explicitly listed what would be required militarily for Ukraine to even have a chance of winning, knowing full well that level of military assistance would be impossible to achieve. It was a coded way of stating the obvious, that this war is on its last legs and that there’s no choice but to negotiate its end at this point.

Experts also say that General Z would never have been allowed to speak this way publicly unless the end was near, and that Zelensky is on the verge of being dumped in favor of General Z who will be the one to negotiate a truce and the one most likely assume power when Zelensky is removed. The Russians respect General Z and realize he is the only Ukrainian counterpart in the Ukrainian power structure that has a realistic perspective of the situation, unlike the clown Zelensky.

Meanwhile the Russian attack on Ukraine has generated spending in the West on arms and weapons systems, and that spending is bolstering the economies of the USA and its allies. Factory workers from Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and other US companies are enjoying their Christmas bonuses.

Bolstered our economy? The United States government is borrowing money from China to send to Ukraine and for every celebrating Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, or Boeing employee, there are few dozen Americans losing their jobs as the economy goes further in the hole.

Even speculating that I might have a soft spot for a terrorist is filth unbecoming a freeper. The post to which I was responding was directed at a member of this forum and the “other liars on FR who have been deceiving us about everything” and by the common rules of grammar was calling for their execution by what we all knew was the most corrupt government in Europe a year ago. It’s beyond disgusting.

I understand emotions run high but there are limits and I think that’s so far beyond the limits it requires an apology. Tried, convicted and sentenced to death because people are angry online? What are we, democrats?

The American Conservative has always been anti-neocon and anti-globalist as they believe such policies are extremely detrimental to America’s long term interests. I’ve always despised both Bush jr and John McCain myself, though not to the extent of preferring Kerry.

But to be honest I myself was open to Obama when he first ran because I hated McCain that much. For all the evil Obama did domestically, I do give him credit for at least moderating the neocon agenda. With McCain we would have been in a war with both Syria and Iran as a prelude to the war we are involved in now. Obama at least didn’t fall into that neocon trap. Unfortunately that was about the only thing positive about Obama.

“The Ukrainian soldiers are apparently highly motivated for reasons of their own (preservation of their nation seems a likely reason)”
*******************************************

If preservation of their nation was their primary motivation, cozying up to NATO was about the stupidest thing they could have done. Even an idiot could have foreseen where this would lead. Zelensky was voted in on a platform of negotiating peace then pulled his bait and switch, so he certainly wasn’t following the wishes of the Ukrainian people. Now their country is in tatters, and will never be the same again. How could anyone in their right mind think this war was in the interests of the Ukrainian people? How can some of you people possibly be this freaking delusional?
